"Oppa~!" The voice rang out again, travelling closer.
Yoongi's body tensed as her heard the click of her heels. The others around him were frozen in place, staring in her direction. Shocked but her title in Yoongi's life as well as her face, it seemed. But Yoongi stared at Jimin, wishing he could stop this entire moment. As Jimin met his gaze, Yoongi hardened more. Jimin's almond eyes focused on the girl approaching them, filled with a sadness the elder could practically feel.
Suddenly, a pair of thin arms slid around Yoongi's shoulders, "Yoongi Oppa, why haven't you answered my texts? Making me come all the way down here just to eat with you."
Yoongi spun around, his eyes looking over his proposed fiancé. Long black hair draped over her slender shoulders. Her deep brown eyes were big against her small face. Black dress draped over her small frame, contrasting against her skin whose Milken paleness was enough to rival Yoongi's own. She looked like a live porcelain doll.
"I told you not to call me that," Yoongi replied, pulling free of her grasp. "What are you doing here, HyeMi-ah?"

HyeMi's cute facade faded away, her innocent face turning cynical, "Is that any way to treat your future wife?"Yoongi cringed at the word, "Well, you're not right now

HyeMi's cute facade faded away, her innocent face turning cynical, "Is that any way to treat your future wife?"
Yoongi cringed at the word, "Well, you're not right now. So what are you doing here?"
HyeMi lifted up a lunch box before taking a seat at their table, across from Jimin, "I came to have lunch with you." Her big eyes scanned the faces staring at her in awe, "Oppa, who are these people?"
"They're my friends," Yoongi replied through grit teeth.
"I'm Jin," Seokjin introduced, bowing politely as Namjoon followed. "This is my boyfriend, Namjoon."
HyeMi gave them a disapproving look, "I didn't know Yoongi Oppa had gay friends."
Yoongi could feel the mood shift, the air around the table turning cold as he held back his irritation, "Yeah. And that's Taehyung, Jungkook, and... Jimin."
Yoongi wasn't sure why he paused before saying the younger's name but HyeMi noticed. Her doe eyes shifting instantly to Jimin as he shifted uncomfortably in his seat. Jimin's eyes trained on the mound of rice he'd been poking with his chopsticks.
"Jimin.... Jimin...." HyeMi didn't use honorifics, causing the mood around them to grow colder. "Isn't that a girls name?"
Jimin didn't reply but Yoongi could see his toned body go rigid at her words.
HyeMi only continued, "I guess it's okay though. You're so pretty like a girl so your name fits you."
Yoongi went back to his seat, seething with anger, "He's older than you. Address him with some respect."
HyeMi smiled, the act both beautiful and devilish, "I'm sorry, you're right. Do you prefer Jimin-ssi or unnie?"
Jimin glared at her, his face empty of emotion though Yoongi knew it was bubbling just under the surface.
Before anyone else could speak, Yoongi slammed his fist on the table, "God dammit! Come with me."
Not waiting for any more damage to be done, Yoongi grabbed HyeMi's wrist. Leading her swiftly out of the cafeteria. Ignoring her protests, not letting her free from his grip until they both stood outside the building. The Cold air circling them seemed like warmth compared to the chill left at the lunch table in HyeMi's presence.
"What the hell was that?" HyeMi's facade was completely gone now as she rubbed her wrist.
Yoongi didn't like that he hurt her but he pushed the emotion aside, "Why are you here? I know it's not lunch."
HyeMi sighed, "Your father called my father saying you've been ignoring his requests for family dinner. So I'm here to make sure you come."
Yoongi hissed, knowing that once that dinner takes place their marriage goes from possible to definite. Something he truly didn't want, "I'm busy with school right now."
HyeMi scoffed, "Yah, do I need to remind you what will happen if this marriage doesn't happen?"
Yoongi instantly became enraged by her informal tone, "Yah! I'm not backing out. I'm asking to wait til I graduate. Or do you wanna move out of your plush mansion and into my dingy apartment that fucking bad?"
HyeMi sighed, "Fine. I'll talk my father."
Yoongi nodded and turned to head back into the cafeteria, hearing HyeMi's heels click behind him cause him to turn back, "What are you doing?"
"I came here to eat lunch," she replied dryly, pushing past him. "That's what I'm going to do."
Yoongi kept his emotions at bay and followed her back to the table. The others finishing their food and talking in the absence of Yoongi's drama. Once he arrived back at the table, the elder watched the smile fall away from Jimin's face. His once glowing eyes focused on the half eaten plate in front of him.
"So sorry about that," HyeMi announced, bowing a fake apology as she put her mask back on. "Yoongi Oppa gets so worked up sometimes."
Yoongi could visibly see Jimin cringe whenever HyeMi called him Oppa. The sight like a stab to his heart.
"What do you guys do for fun?" HyeMi asked, delicately eating her salad. "I haven't been able to find any fun since I came back from China with my father."
"We don't do much outside of school," Namjoon replied, partly honest.
"We're having a barbecue this weekend at our house though," Jungkook added innocently as Taehyung smacked his leg under the table.
HyeMi smiled, her facade flowing bright, "Oh! That sounds fun! Can't wait!"
Everyone knew it wasn't an invitation but no one dared correct her. Instead, they all finished lunch in uncomfortable conversation. Yoongi focused on Jimin who wouldn't speak a word. Begging him with his mind to meet his gaze. For Jimin to see the look of apology and regret painted on Yoongi's face. But he didn't budge. Only left the table without a word, slipping off to his next class.
I'm sorry, Jiminie.
