Capt. Richard Faulkerson, Sr. sees his son by the door of Maine, she touches his face and then closed the door. He called on his son...

RS: RJ nak...halika dito...

RJ: Dad...duty ka pa di ba?

RS: si Steve muna bukas na ako...halika inuman tayo!

Five Years Ago...

Richard Jr was inconsolable, he just learned that his girlfriend Jodie died from cancer. And he has no idea how did that happen. She broke up with him two months ago because of an "arranged marriage" thing. Richard was on his Internship at the Carribean Cruise when he found out.

Richard Sr. was waiting for his son at the Sea Port, he knows exactly where to bring him - at the Columbarium. RJ had been pursuing Jodie since last year and then everything happened so fast in the almost one year that they were together. Richard Sr took a leave of abscence from his Captain duties to be a father for RJ. He can still remember how painful it was for the 13 year old RJ to see his Mom die from cancer and now his first girlfriend died from cancer.

Richard Sr can see RJ from the Port Area, he looks pale, lacks sleep and unshaven. He did not need to say anything, a father understands. Richard Sr hold on to his son's shoulder and told him that they need to go.

It was painful for Richard Sr to see RJ cry and scream at the urn case of Jodie; he felt betrayed, lost and extremely sad. Richard Jr stayed in his room for a week and it was Richard Sr who talked to him into moving on. They got drunk at the time that Riza called on Rodjun and Chris - RJ's closest friends to help them. The next day, Richard Jr insisted that he will go back to the Cruise and go on with his life.

Richard Jr never showed any hint on being interested in a relationship nor dating anyone...that is until recently...

Present Time

Inuman tayo...

Oh no...he's at it again... Richard thought to himself, but that's okay, it's been a while since they bonded over a bottle of liquor...way too long...

RS: Ok lang yan Anak, nk Cruise Control naman tayo and di pa naman busy tomorrow... (hands him a glass of Jack Daniels)

RJ: Thanks Dad....

RS: Aba eh game na...magkwento ka na!

Richard Jr smiled and started to tell the story of how he met Maine and how he ended up following her anywhere - although Fate has something to do with it as well. He also mentioned the dates that he took Dei into.

RS: Hala ang saya2 naman pala...alam mo nak ganyan din ako sa Mama mo, love at first sight! Hindi ko din tinantanan...

RJ: pero Dad si Maine kasi kk break lng sa ex nya...hindi p saw siya ready.

RS: Tiyaga lang Anak...intindihin mo siyang mabuti, kausapin mo yung best friend alamin mo ang mga gusto nya at mga plans...

RJ: Naku Dad...ang tindi ng pagnanasa sa akin nung babae na yun...alam mo Dad, cancer surivor ang bestfriend nya and inalagaan din siya ni Maine kahit ang sakit2 nung nangyari sa kanya at sa mokong n Ex nya...

RS: Alam mo anak lagi naman tayong pinagnanasahan, lahi na yan eh...pero ayan ha alamin mo muna ang buong kwento ni Maine pero kung saan ka sasata doon ako ha....

RJ: Yes Dad...

Father and son got so drunk that night and Cai found them on the floor the next morning. They can't be seen like this, Cai said to herself, she went to Maine's room to ask for help...
