"Leia!" my mom walked into my room.

"What?" I turned around in my comfortable bed, not wanting to get up.

"Come on, you have to get up, otherwise you will miss your flight!" She said before pulling my blanket away from my body, making the cold air hit my naked legs before she walked out of the room again. I slowly opened my eyes amd looked at the clock next to me on the bedside table. 6 am. In three hours I had to be at the airport.

I grabbed my phone and unlocked it, checking Snapchat. I snapped a quick photo to my friends before I closed the app again and went on Instagram. I liked a few pictures as my mom yelled again from downstairs.

"Leia!!"

"I'm coming." I groaned and closed my phone. You see, I'm not exactly a morning person. I got up from the bed and walked downstairs into the kitchen in shorts and a simple shirt that I wore for sleeping.

"Good morning!" My dad greeted me before taking a sip from his coffee.

"Morning." I yawned and sat down on the table, grabbing a croissant before biting in it hungrily.

"Today is the day! Are you excited?" My dad asked and I nodded smiling.

"I can't wait for Canada!" We continued eating breakfast and eventually my mom and my brother arrived downstairs.

"I'm gonna go get ready." I stood up after I finished eating and placed my plate on the kitchen counter before heading upstairs. I quickly checked my phone on the way. There was a new message from my best friend, Emilie.

Emilie👭❤: 'I'll see you at the airport to say goodbye. Gosh I'm gonna miss you!'

I smiled and quickly typed something back to her before I grabbed some fresh clothes and changed into them. I brushed my teeth and my hair before I checked the time. I finished getting ready before I walked back downstairs. It was already time to go.

"I'm ready." I said and put on my shoes.

"I'll be down in a minute." My mom called from upstairs and I pulled out my phone again to pass the time. My dad already got my stuff in the car yesterday so I just had my backback with the things I will take with me onto the plane.

"Okay let's go. Are you guys ready?" My mom walked into the room and called for my brother and my dad. They came from the living room and together we walked out to the car.

"Wait, I have to go to the toilet!" My brother yelled.

"Oh my gosh, but be quick!" I groaned as he jumped out of the car. I turned on some music before he came back again. We got in and drove off to the airport. The whole time I looked outside the window, taking everything in for the last time.

I loved my home. The small city and the green hills around it. But I was excited for something new. I was ready.
