When I woke up the next morning I heard voices coming from downstairs.

"Kids! Breakfast is ready, are you coming?"

"Yes mom" the kids were running down the stairs.

I sat up in my bed, looking around the room. My first real day in Canada! I smiled and got up. I opened my suitcase and got out a pair of jeans and a simple shirt and changed into it before I made my way into the bathroom. After I got ready I walked down the stairs and into the kitchen where I could hear everyone talking. As I came around the corner I saw the whole family sitting around the big table.

"Good morning" I said and Bethany immediately stood up to hug me.

"Good morning Leia. How did you sleep?"

"Great actually, thank you. The bed is really comfortable." I smiled.

"Fantastic! Come, sit with us, are you hungry?" she led me to an empty seat next to Vivian and I sat down, greeting her.

"Yes I am. And the food looks so delicious" I took some waffles with chocolate and some fruits onto my plate.

"Leia do you want to play something with me after breakfast? We have many games we could play. It will be so much fun." Vivi asked me.

"I would love to play with you. But first I would like to unpack my things. We can do something after that, what do you think?"

"Okay. Can I help you?" She looked at me and I nodded.

"Yes of course."

We all finished our breakfast before we got up. Tom grabbed the dishes and put them into the sink before filling water in to clean them.

"That breakfast was delicious" I told Bethany

"Thank you Leia." she smiled back.

"I'll be in my room unpacking, alright?"

"Of course. Take your time." I walked back into my room, Vivi next to me. I closed the door behind us and opened my bag.

"Will you help me put the clothes into the closet?" Vivi nodded and sat down on the ground next to me. We started getting out the clothes and all my stuff.

"You have so many beautiful things."

"Oh thank you. But look at your dress, that's also really pretty."

"Do you think so?" Vivi spinned around in her dress.

"Yes, absolutely." We soon were finished and walked back downstairs. We sat on the couch together as Vivi kept asking me questions.

"What's your favourite color?"

"I really like blue and pink, what about you?"

"I love pink! What's you favourite food?"

"That's a good question! I really love pizza!"

"Me too! But my favourite food is ice cream. I laughed at her answer.

"What kind of ice cream?"

"Umm, maybe strawberry? No, chocolate! But also yoghurt." Vivi thought for a moment.

"And you?"

"I love chocolate and stracciatella!"

"That's the white icre cream with chocolate chips in it?"

"Exactly."

"I like that one too!" She smiled

"Do you have a favourite singer?" She suddenly asked.

"I do. What about you? Who's your favourite singer?"

"Shawn Mendes!" I smiled lightly at her answer.

"You know, that's my favourite singer too.“

"Really? That's so cool! Now we can listen to his music allllll the time." Vivi jumped around happily. I decided to better not tell her that I actually met him. We laughed until my phone started ringing in the back pocket of my jeans. I quickly pulled it out and looked at the display.

"I'm sorry, I have to answer that, I'll be right back." I walked out and up into my room before I picked up.

"Hi Mama."

"Hey Sweetie. How are you? Everything alright?"

"Yeah, everything is perfect. I'm sorry i didn't call you but i forgot, there were just so many things and as I got here i just went to sleep. You know, jetlag..."

"It's fine. How was your flight? Was everything alright?"

"Well, in Paris I had a little struggle buth other than that everything was fine.“

We kept talking for a while until she had to go so we said our good byes before I hung up.

Just then a new text message popped up on my phone and I opened it. I read it and smiled.

Unknown number: 'hey Leia, it's Shawn. I just wanted to ask of you're still up for a meet up sometimes? You know, I promised you to give you a ride around the city so, tell me if you're free?'

I immediately typed back.

Me: 'hey Shawn. I would love to meet you, but I already have plans with my family for today. Maybe tomorrow?'

I closed my phone after saving his contact and smiled before I made my way back downstairs.
