“Are you ready?“ Bethany called right as I walked into the hallway. We wanted to go visit the niagara falls today since it was a beautiful warm day and it was the weekend. It was already october, which means that the first month in Canada was already over.

“I'm ready! And Shawn's already here too. I'll wait outside, okay?“

“Sure, we'll be there any second.“ I nodded and walked out of the door to go and great Shawn who was getting out of his car in that moment.

“Hey there, princess!“ He smiled and I playfully rolled my eyes before I hugged him quickly so he couldn't see the growing smile on my face.

“Hello, giant!“ I chuckled. Since I've told Shawn that my name actually came from the princess Leia in the Star Wars movies it was his new nickname for me. And since he was a giant compared to me I gave him the name 'giant'.

Just then the front door opened again and the family was coming out.

“Hello Shawn!“ Vivian run up to Shawn to hug him. I brought him home with me a few times and they were pretty good with each other. At first it was a little shock to have a famous singer standing in your living room but they all got used to it. Vivi already loved Shawn and also Ben and Sky really liked him, Bethany as well.

“Hello Vivi! How are you?“ Shawn smiled and hugged her.

“I'm good. I'm excited to see the big water falls!“ She explained excited before we all decided to get into the car and go. Vivi and I decided to go with Shawn in his Jeep because we couldn't fit into the other car together.

As soon as we started driving Shawn turned on the radio and we all started singing to it. Vivi and I cheered as Shawn hit the high notes and laughed as Vivi messed up her part. The car ride was really fun and went by really fast. Before we knew it we parked the car into a parking lot and got out. We met with the others again before we started walking around the area. Even though we weren't that close to the falls yet we could already hear the water loudly crashing down. We walked around for a while, trying to not lose each other in the big mass of people and tourists. Finally I spotted a free place on the edge where you could see them perfectly so I quickly skipped over, telling Shawn to come with me. I stood at the railing, Shawn a little behind me as I looked down at the water. I was completely blown away by the beauty of the nature and forgot everything around me for a moment as I watched the soft rainbows dancing over the water. Everywhere around me were cameras going off as people wanted to take the best photo. Just then I got pulled out of my thoughts as I heard Sky calling my name behind me.

Leia!“

“yes hunny?“ I asked and crouched down in front of her as she ran into my arms, Vivian following her sister.

“Can you lift me up so i can see the waterfall?“

“Sure. Come here“ I turned around with her in my arms and saw Shawn standing at the edge, Vivi now onto his shoulders as he hold onto her short legs. A smile creeped onto my face because of this cuteness I saw in front of me. They talked excited about something and I walked up next to them. Together we watched the amazing waterfalls in front of us.

“Leia?“

“Huh?“

“I know this is absolutely beautiful but we have to look for you family now, otherwise we will never find them again in this crowd.“ he softly explained and I nodded.

“Okay, you're right, let's go.“ I took a last glance at the water falls before we walked away, Vivi still on Shawn's shoulders and Sky holding onto my hand tightly. After almost an hour we heard someone behind us call out our names.

“Leia, Shawn, we are here!“ I turned around and saw Bethany waving at us.

“There you are, we just wanted to call you because we couldn't find you anywhere.“ She sounded relievered as we walked up to her and Tom.

“I'm sorry, we spent too much time back at the railing to watch the falls.“ I apologized to Bethany.

Soon after that we decided to get something to eat before we go back home so we sat down on a table in a small restaurant a little away from the crowded place. As we sat there and waited for our food Shawn got out his phone and turned the screen towards me a few moments later to show me something. I looked up and glanced at the bright screen. There was a photo of today - me watching the water falls, my back to the camera.

“Woah this is cool! Can you send this to me please?“ seconds later I got a new message, seeing that Shawn had already sent it. Just then our food came and we started eating.

As we arrived home later Shawn decided to stay for a little while longer. We just layed down onto my bednext to each other while listening to some music as I decided to post the photo from earlier on instagram now.

“I didn't know I was your best friend now!“ I chuckled as I turned to Shawn, referring to his instagram post.

“Well you are now, during the last month we spent almost every day together.“ He grinned at me before looking down at his watch.

“I think I have to go now.“

“Okay, I'll walk you out.“ I stood up from the bed and opened the door, Shawn following behind me.

Downstairs, we enchanged a long hug before Shawn opened the door.

“Good bye princess! I'll see you again next week.“

“Alright. Good bye my new best friend!“ I chuckled and Shawn laughed before he quickly kissed my forehead and walked out to his car.
