“Do you know what today is?“ Shawn asked me through the phone as I was laying on the sofa, zipping through the channels on the tv.

“wednesday, I think.“ I heard him gasp at the other end.

“No way! Don't tell me you forgot about halloween!“

“Oh, right. Wait, that's today!?“

“Yes it is! You promised me to go to that halloween party today, remember?“ Of course I remembered it, but I honestly wasn't in the mood to go out now. The whole day it has been cold and rainy and I just wanted to cuddle up in my bed and watch some netflix.

“Leia?“ Shawn noticed my silence.

“I'm sorry Shawn, but I'm not in the mood to go out now and-“

“How can you not be in the mood? It's halloween.“

“Yeah exactly. I never celebrated it and I never really was interested in celebrating it.“

“But that's just a reason more to come with me. When you never celebrated it, how can you know that you don't like it? Look, just come with me to that party. And if you still don't like it when were there we will go back to my place and watch movies. What do you say?“ he asked me in the sweetest voice.

“Okay.“ I sighed and he immediately started cheering. I rolled my eyes and smiled lightly. How could I say no to that cute bean?

“But wait, Shawn, I don't even habe a costume!“

“Don't worry about that. I'll be over in 10 and then we will get ready together!“ I was about to answer him but he already had cut the line. I sighed and just stayed were I was, waiting for Shawn.

15 minutes later the doorbell rang and I went down to open the door for Shawn. He walked in with a bag in his hands, smiling at me before walking straight up to my room. I followed him and watched him theowing the bag on the ground.

“Okay, you ready for it?“ He grinned at me.

“well, I guess I have no other choice.“ I chuckled. Shawn laughed and opened the bag, pulling some red and blue clothes out of it.

“Okay I got this really cool costume for you! Try it on, I will go to the bathroom and change into mine.“ with that he walked put of the room.

I stared at the clothes in my hand before stripping out of my pants and hoodie. Just as I finished putting everything on the door opened and Shawn walked in. I couldn't help but start laughing when I saw him. He wore thinght leggins, a blue shirt with a big S on it and a red cape. He was dressed as Superman and if that wasn't enough he was matching with my costume that he gave to me. I was dressed as Supergirl.

“What do you think?“ he smiled at me.

“Well, I'm honestly surprized that you didn't choose a Harry Potter theme. But this is really cool.“

“I'm glad you like it. But enough of that, we have to get ready now.“

“Okay, we're here.“ Shawn pulled me out of my thoughts and paid the taxi driver before we got out of the car. I didn't even remember who was throwing that party but I trusted Shawn so I just followed him inside the house. We got greeted by many people that knew Shawn but I've never seen in my life before. As Shawn stopped to talk with a few boys I spotted his friends Brian and Tom in the crowd and decided to go over there since I've already met them before.

“Um, hey.“

“Hey. You're Leia, right?“

“Yeah. I thought I would just come over, you're liek the only people I know around here.“ I chuckled lightly.

“That's fine. Where's Shawn?“

“He's over there talking to someone.“ I looked over just to see Shawn looking around nervously. I tried to wave at him and when he spotted me he immediately relaxed and cane over.

“There you are. Hey guys.“

We spent to next two hours with them until the party started to get harder. I wasn't used to partying and drinking and felt myself getting a little anxious in the crowd of people. But I didn't want to ruin the night for Shawn so I didn't say anything.

I was about to get something to drink when a guy with a scary clown mask jumped out from somewhere right in front of me. I screamed and tried to run away but as I turned around there was another clown standing behind me. I screamed and run away, searching for Shawn.

“Shawn?“ I yelled at him over the loud music after I finally found him.

“Yeah? Woah hey what happened, why are you crying?“

“This is getting too much for me, can you please take me home?“

“Of course. Come on.“ after we told the guys we're leaving we got out of the house and waited for a taxi.

“Do you now want to tell me what's wrong?“

“There were these guys with clown masks on and they really scared me. I hate clowns and that was just too much.“ I sighed and layed my head on Shawn's shoulder.

“Oh shit, I'm so sorry, this wouldn't have happened if I wouldn't have dragged you there.“

“Shawn it's okay, you couldn't know that. And I had so much fun at first.“ after that it was silent for the rest of the ride until we arrived at his condo.
