Today was the first day of VidCon. Keith was of course excited to see his fans, just like the others in team Voltron were excited to meet their fans, but he was more excited to meet Y/N. He had been a fan of hers since she had a little over a hundred thousand subscribers, and before Voltron became a channel.

He lived in L.A., along with his adoptive big brother, Shiro, so it wasn't too far of a drive so he didn't bother getting a hotel room. If he left at eight- right then-, he would arrive at around nine, so he wasn't too worried since he usually woke up early.

He slipped on his jacket before leaving his house and locking it behind him. It was a red jacket with a yellow stripe in the middle and white cuffs and a white collar. He would've taken his Voltron jacket- A black leather jacket with Voltron's signature 'V' like symbol in red- but he would wear that one tomorrow.

He hopped on his motorcycle and sped off, headed for the convention.

---

When he got to the building, he hopped off of his motorcycle and went to walk inside. He was going to wander around while he waited for everyone else to get there, maybe vlog a bit.

People were all over, as always, but this time it was different. People were crowding around a certain spot, and usually they were just scattered randomly.

Keith walked over to check it out, and saw Markiplier, Mason, and his celebrity crush, Y/N. His heart skipped a beat as he realised that he might actually get to meet her in person. He had tried many times before to meet her, but she was always just leaving by the time he was able to get away from crazed fans of his, and he was always too weirded out at the thought of trying to catch her after she left.

He felt a hand on his shoulder and he looked behind him to see Shiro. He couldn't hear him over the crowd of fangirls, but he could still tell what he was trying to ask. He wanted to know if he wanted him to introduce them. Keith was always shy around those who he admired, and Shiro knew that it would be no different this time.

Keith shook his head no. It would just be awkward if he needed his brother to introduce them. If Lance got here anytime soon, Keith knew that he would push his way through the crowd, try and flirt with Y/N, and if she didn't flirt back, he would invite her to hang out with them anyways.

Where were the others? They should have been there not long ago, possibly even before Keith and Shiro. Lots of people were waiting to see them at VidCon, so they would never be late.

As if on cue, all the others appeared and found their way over to Keith.

"What's going on over here?" Lance asked, looking past the crowd. His gaze landed on Y/N and Keith just needed one glimpse of the look in his eyes. "Oh, shit. Is that C/N? Be right back."

Lance made his way through the crowd, which surprisingly wasn't that hard. Keith could hear Lance's terrible attempts at flirting and could just barely hear Y/N's witty yet slightly flirty response. He watched as Mark's overprotective brother glare kicked in and Lance backed away slightly.

He watched as Y/N and Mark pushed their way out of the crowd and everyone shifted their attention to team Voltron. Apparently Mason had left the group to go do something a while ago, so she didn't have to push through as many fans which made it easier to make an escape.

---

Keith walked out of the building to get some fresh air, but he instead saw Y/N sitting on a bench relaxing with her legs crossed in front of her while she checked her phone. She was peacefully scrolling through her phone, tapping on something every once in a while.

He walked over and cleared his throat, startling her a bit. "Mind if I sit here?" he asked.

She moved over a bit, signalling to him that it was fine. "What are you doing out here?" she asked him. She turned off her phone and gave him her full attention.

"I just needed some air. I love my fans, but they can be a bit crazy. One of them asked me to marry them," he said with a small smile. He heard her laugh a bit.

"They're not crazy, just excited. From my experience, they calm down quite a bit after a while."

Keith smiled a bit to himself. He was finally meeting Y/N. Maybe his unrealistic crush was just a little realistic.

"Anyways, what are you doing out here?" Keith asked, looking at her again.

She sighed and leaned back. "I also needed to take a break. Not because of the fans, but because it was a bit crowded. I don't do too well around crowds, and I just need some time to relax after a while," she told him. A ding was heard from her phone and she jumped a bit before looking at it.

Keith felt a bit awkward just staring into the distance, but he didn't want to seem weird by asking her what the notification was, so he got his own phone and started scrolling through his Twitter.

"Don't tell anyone you saw this, but I've been working on a new thing for my merch store," Y/N said, causing him to look up. She grabbed a chain that was hanging around her neck and pulled it up, revealing a cute little pendant with her channel's mascot.

"I can tell that it's gonna sell out fast," Keith said.

"Thanks," Y/N said, smiling. "This one is just a prototype, though. I just got the message telling me that the final ones have been completely finished. There's one thousand of each, and there five different types. We might get in more, but I'm not sure. Next I'm gonna start working on shirts," she told him, causing him to smile a bit. Seeing her ramble on an on about her stuff was adorable. "Ah, I've probably bored you to death with my rambling. I should get going," she said, grabbing her things and standing up to leave. "Sorry."

Keith stood up quickly, too. "No, really, it's okay. I enjoy hearing you talk about things like this," Keith said, knowing that he was telling the truth. She was somehow able to tell and relaxed a bit.

"Well, I should probably get going anyways. I've still got things to do before the day is done, and I don't want to disappoint anyone by not doing them," Y/N said, smiling and turning around to leave.

"Wait!" Keith said without thinking. She turned around and looked at him, awaiting his next words. "The rest of team Voltron and I are going to the Cheesecake Factory for dinner and I'm sure they would be excited to have you, Mark, and Tatsu come along if you'd like," he offered. He knew that they really would be excited, even if it was on such short notice.

Y/N smiled. "Sounds great, thanks. I'll let Mark and Tatsu know about the sudden change of plans, but we really weren't doing anything after we left anyways, so I'm sure they'll be happy to have somewhere to go," she said, still smiling. Keith nodded and she nodded back before they both left.

Keith immedeitly got on his phone to text the others through their group chat.

Guys, slight change in plans for dinner
