Keith groaned as he turned over in his bed. His eyes snapped open and he sighed. He rolled onto his stomach and buried his face in his pillow, hoping to get a few more minutes of sleep as his alarm hadn't gone off yet.
He began to doze off once again, but his alarm went off. His dog's ears pricked up and the dog stood up on the bed, knowing what the alarm meant.
Keith sighed and sat up, knowing that now that his dog had heard the alarm, it wasn't going to let him sleep again. He got up and quickly got changed. His dog happily pranced around behind him as he got ready for the day.
As soon as Keith was done, he opened the door, waiting for the dog to go out before him. He walked out the door, walking next to his dog as he planned out the day.
He had a video recorded for Tuesday, which was when it was supposed to be his turn to upload a video, he just needed to edit it. He had also pre-recorded the cooking video that Hunk had done with him while Hunk was out visiting L.A. for VidCon. All that he could really think of that was somewhat urgent was going to Allura's.
Allura had been making a series that was sorta of a competition, which she called 'Paladins Do My Makeup', due to the fact that she was having each of the Paladins do her makeup. She had been grading them based on how good the makeup was by the end, and so far Lance was winning (though Shiro was a close second with his amazing eyeliner skills), which he claimed to be because of his sisters, who would have him do their makeup every so often while he was still living with them.
Keith snapped out of his thoughts by someone brushing his shoulder with their own. He looked up to see Y/N, who also looked up, seemingly confused about how she had managed to hit someone.
"Uh, hey," Keith greeted.
"Oh, hey," Y/N replied, laughing sheepishly as she closed her phone.
"I wasn't expecting to see you so soon," Keith said, looking to the girl. "Do you live nearby?"
"Only about ten minutes that way," Y/N told him, pointing behind her.
Keith chuckled. "Well, I only live about five minutes that way," Keith said, pointing behind him. "Anyways, what are you doing?"
"Looking for a dog park to let Nikki play at," Y/N said, motionibg to the puppy next to her.
"Oh, you gave her a name?"
"Well, I can't go around calling her the puppy the whole time," Y/N said, chuckling.
"I guess you're right," Keith said, also chuckling. "There's a good dog park over that way. A bunch of different people to there. You're bound to get some energy out of her."
"Thanks," Y/N said, giving him a smile. "Would you like to join me?"
Keith's expression brightened, but he soon remembered that the had to go to Allura's. He sighed and ran a and through his black hair. "I'd love to, but I have to get to Allura's to film and video for her."
Y/N shuddered. "Careful. She's been pestering me ever since she learned of our planned date."
"Will do, thanks. I'll try and see of I can get her to stop bugging you while I'm there, if you'd like," Keith offered. Y/N shrugged in response.
"I don't think she'd listen, but it gives me something to do when I get bored," Y/N said. She shushed Nikki as the puppy started barking, and she turned to Keith. "I should probably get going. Good luck with Allura," she said, waving as she walked off.
Keith sighed, watching her leave. His mood had brightened and the felt ready to go see Allura, and the was even more happy about the date than before.
---
Keith knocked on Allura's door. He looked around at everything as he waited for her to get to the door. He had been to her house before, but he never really looked around her place.
It was a nice, typical modern house set on top of a hill looking over and town near L.A.. The grass looked perfect, there was as wooden deck surrounding a pool, and ferns, flowers, and small trees surrounded the house as decorations.
Keith sighed as he looked back at the door. He could hear all sorts of noises in the house, mainly just someone trying to shuffle things around quickly, and tiny feet scuttling across the floor.
"Get back here!" he heard someone tell from inside. Curious, he looked through the windows, frowning when he was met by curtains.
"Allura, is everything alright in there?" Keith asked.
"Yeah, Keith!" Allura called back. "Tha- ah!" He heard something crash to the floor, most likely Allura. "Dammit!" she yelled.
He heard some shifting before the door opened up, revealing Allura in short shorts and a crop top. Her dyed silver hair was placed up in a high ponytail, but the hairband was slightly out of place, making it look a little messed up. She chuckled nervously and took the hairband out.
"I should have put it in a braid," she grumbled.
"What was going on?" Keith asked.
"Uh, nothing," she lied, giving a grin that completely gave away her lie. "Anyways, what are you doing here?"
"I came over for the 'Paladins Do My Makeup' thing, remember?"
"Oh! Was that today? Silly me, I must have forgotten! What do you think about you coming back in, say, a week?" Allura suggested, looking to Keith. Her eyes strayed down to Keith's dog, seeing it trying to go in like it always did whenever they went over to her house.
Keith raised an eyebrow when he saw Allura trying to get the dog to go away. Usually she was always excited to see him. "What's going on?" Keith asked, crossing his arms at the girl.
"Nothing! I swear it's nothing!" Allura said. "Stop it! That tickles!" she suddenly screeched. She started laughing and spinning around, trying to get whatever it was off, and Keith saw it.
A plump white mouse clung to the back of her crop top, doing something to tickle her. He wasn't sure what the mouse was doing, but whatever it was worked, because Allura was practically doubled over laughing.
Keith reached out and took the mouse off of Allura. It squealed and tried to get away, but he wasn't letting it go. After Allura had caught her breath, she looked sheepishly to Keith, who held the mouse out to Allura.
"What is this?" Keith asked.
"A mouse," Allura reluctantly answered.
Keith rolled his eyes. "Is this what you were trying to hide from me?"
"Yes," Allura answered quickly. Too quickly.
Keith noticed her saying it quickly, and he raised an eyebrow as of the were asking her what else she was hiding. He opened his mouth to speak again, but the quickly shut his mouth was the heard multiple more squeaks. He looked down to see three more mice run out and around his feet.
"Allura, what did you do?" Keith asked.
"I did nothing!" Allura said, looking offended that he would suggest such a thing. "I was at the pet store getting more treats for Cosmo,-" She motioned to Keith's dog- "and these four slipped into my purse, so today I've been chasing them around to try and get them in a cage to take them back."
Keith sighed. "Why didn't you just tell me? Why couldn't you have just said that you had four mice running around that you had to catch and that you had to reschedule?"
"Well, I didn't want to just tell you! It's sort of embarrassing that I wouldn't have noticed four mice in my bag until I woke up the next morning!" Allura said.
Keith sighed again. "Okay, whatever. Do you want me to help you?" he asked.
Allura shook her head. "I'm pretty sure I can get them by myself, but thanks anyways. If you could come over some other time, that would be amazing."
Once again, please go over to my update book. Also, I'm sorry for not posting a chapter in a while like I said I was I forgot. And also 3k?! Wh- what?
