It was almost time for the final round of the game competition, and Keith was very excited. But, not as excited as Y/N. She had broken away from Mark to spend some time with Keith before they had to go out, and Keith's heart skipped a beat when she told him.
So far, Y/N was with him and the other Paladins, and almost all of them were on the ground playing with the puppy she had found. It was a bit shy at first, but quickly started to enjoy all the attention.
People would come over every once in a while and ask for a picture or autograph, they would say how big of a fan thet were, and pet the puppy a bit before going off on their way.
Y/N sat down on the ground to talk with the others, leaving Shiro and Keith standing. Allura was taking a turn playing with the puppy while chatting with Y/N and the others. The puppy ran over to Y/N and she brought her hand up and wiggled her fingers, making the puppy jump up to try and get them.
"What are you going to name her?" Allura asked Y/N.
"I don't know yet," Y/N told her. "I don't even know if we're gonna keep her, since we might find her owner."
Everyone continued to chat on, Keith or Shiro joining in every once in a while.
"I can see why you like her," Shiro said to Keith, just quiet enough so that Y/N wouldn't hear. Y/N was running her hand across the floor, the puppy happily chasing it around as everybody cooed. Y/N would occasionally pick her hand up to pet the puppy, knocking it over lightly.
Keith smiled softly at the sight of Y/N playing with the puppy. The others would join in and the puppy would try to chase after all the hands, confused when it didn't work.
The puppy eventually laid down, exhausted from all the playing it did in the past half hour or so. Y/N laughed again and clipped the leash back onto the collar. She got her phone and checked the time, and the shocked look on her face made Keith curious.
"Do you guys think you could watch the puppy? It's almost time for the final round. I would have Mark do it but I dunno where he is," Y/N said.
"Of course!" Allura said. Y/N passed the leash to her and Allura picked up the puppy, cooing at it and encouraging it to lick her nose.
Y/N ruffled the puppy's fur before standing up and looking to Keith expectedly. Keith nodded, signalling for her to lead the way, which she did.
Y/N and Keith walked off, both of them saying goodbye to the group. Most of them just waved, too focused on the puppy to pay attention. Y/N chuckled at this, causing Keith to chuckle along.
"What do you think it's going to be today?" Y/N asked. "We've already gone through GMod Prop Hunt, GMod Murder, we've done Gang Beasts, GTA Death Run, Ultimate Chicken Horse-"
"Ultimate Chicken Horse took forever," Keith sighed. "It seemed like it would never end."
"I know! It didn't help that Lance kept placing everything specifically so that we couldn't get to the goal, and then replace it once we blew it up," Y/N said. "Anyways, there was a poll on twitter to decide on what game to play, but I have no idea what games were in the poll."
"Well, let's just hope that it's something that we're at least somewhat decent at," Keith sighed. He gave Y/N a reassuring smile, which she gratefully returned.
They walked in the room where they would wait to be called out. They both sat down on the couch together and Y/N started flipping through her phone. Keith couldn't help but look over her shoulder to see her on YouTube, scrolling through her recommended page.
Keith watched as one of his videos popped up. It was a gaming video, and he was playing Duck Game with the Garrison Trio.
Lance, Hunk and Pidge had gained the nickname Garrison Trio since they all went to the same college. Keith also went to the college, as Shiro had also done, but Keith been kicked out after the 'incident'.
