Game On (Keith X Reader) (Youtuber/Modern AU?)

Chapter Twenty

Keith had woken up to Y/N elbowing him somewhat harshly in the stomach. He groaned in protest and tightened his grip around her waist ever so slightly, burying his face deeper into her neck and placing a kiss on it.

"Keith, we gotta get up," Y/N groggily told him. "It's seven thirty."

"Too early," Keith replied. Y/N sighed and relaxed for half a minute before pushing herself out of bed, leaving Keith alone.

"I know, be we only have thirty minutes before we gotta get going to VidCon," Y/N said. Keith sighed in slight annoyance before also pushing himself out of bed.

He took a minute purely to appreciate his girlfriend. It had been almost a whole year since their first date, but Keith couldn't help but feel as if they had known each other for an eternity. Perhaps that was the reason they seemed to take their relationship so fast.

He watched as Y/N gathered clothes from their dresser so that she could take a shower, before he himself decided to get up. He went into the living room, where Cosmo automatically raised his head, flicking his ears towards him. Keith looked over to the couch to see Nikki passed out, probably having been in the middle of acting psychotic.

Keith went over to where they kept the dog food and poured some in each of the two dog bowls. At this, Nikki woke up. The golden retriever mix sprinted at full speed towards the direction of the food bowls and began to eat. Keith chuckled before continuing on with getting ready for the day.

The first day wasn't very eventful. There was panels, of course, but this time there wasn't any video game competitions or anything. It was just the normal stuff, such as going to panels, meeting fans, talking with friends, meeting other YouTubers. Stuff like that.

And, after having gone to the Cheesecake Factory with a bunch of friends for dinner, Keith and Y/N finally were able to collapse on the couch. Y/N grabbed a switch controller, and turned on the TV, putting on Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

"I'm gonna crush you this time," Y/N said. Keith chuckled.

"Isn't that what you said last time?" Keith jokingly questioned. His girlfriend gave an exasperated sigh, shaking her head.

"Well, this time I actually mean it," Y/N told him.

"Fairly certain you also said that last time, too," Keith said. He planted a kiss on Y/N's forehead before grabbing the second controller from her and sitting down next to her.

Y/N rolled her eyes, picking her character. "Oh shut up."

It wasn't long before Keith had beat Y/N once again. They had been neck and neck half the race, but Y/N still ended in second. Keith chuckled at the look of disappointment on her face.

"How are you so good?" Y/N asked. Keith shrugged in response.

"Maybe I just practiced enough?" He suggested. "I played a lot throughout my life."

"I played a lot, yet I'm still not that good compared to you."

"We were practically tied for first through half of that race. You call that not very good?" Keith asked, raising a brow.

"I guess," Y/N said, shrugging. "But this time I'm gonna beat you for sure."

Keith sighed and rolled his eyes playfully. He nudged her. "You sure?" Y/N nodded, and they both started another round.

Night had come all too quickly, and, unfortunately, both Keith and Y/N were tired. Tomorrow would bring another day full of Q&As, meet and greets, and even more panels. Keith knew that he and Y/N would barely see each other throughout the day, because their schedules were almost completely different.

Keith picked up Y/N from the couch bridal style, and he carefully walked to their bedroom. Nikki, who was surprisingly calm, followed him in and jumped up on the bed. When Keith set down Y/N, Nikki jumped up and curled up next to her. Keith smiled as Y/N lifted her arm to drape over her dog.

Keith soon joined Y/N in bed, and he pulled up the covers over them both. As he drifted off to sleep, he felt Cosmo also climb up and fall asleep.

Short chapter again because I'm running out of ideas. But there's probably only gonna be, like, three more chapters. Yay! And then I start on the next book. And also work on my other books hopefully. I think I'm just gonna stop my whole schedule thing. I can't keep up, lol, but I'll try and update frequently (I'll try and keep my schedule for this book)
