Chapter Two (2020)

When he had replied to the tweet C/N had sent out, the last thing he had expected was to be singled out and be joining the lobby of multiple other large streamers playing Among Us. To be honest, he still could barely believe it even as his little astronaut jumped off of its seat and he joined the call, being greeted immediately by yelling.

"We're not starting until Y/N tells us who her favorite brother is!" Jack yelled, causing Keith to flinch a bit. His stream was up and running, and he had already said hello to everyone in the chat, so all that was left was to greet the other streamers.

But first, customization.

Rae had taken red, but upon seeing him she offered to change to yellow so that he could use red, for which he was grateful. Mark, Felix, and Jack were still yelling to each other in a playful manner, and everyone else seemed to be ignoring them.

"Y/N, tell them I'm your favorite!" Mark said, walking his bean up to Y/N's.

He had always looked up to her, as he had been watching her even before she hit a thousand subscribers, and he admired not only how humble she was as she climbed the ranks to join her brother up with well over twenty million, but also the fact that she managed to keep a sunny outlook on everything especially when all eyes were on her.

"Y/N who's your favorite?!"

"Whoever puts the cat ears on first," Y/N finally responded.

"Put the cat ears on bitches," Ash said, moving over to the computer to watch as Mark, Sean, and Felix all rushed over and pit the cat ears on. "Now give us your best 'nya~.'"

"I'm not-"

"Corpse is my favorite brother."

Y/N started the game before anyone could start yelling again, and there was a soft "oh" from the really deep voice belonging to said man.

Keith and Y/N were the impostors.

"Felix you're unmuted," Y/N warned preemptively.

It was a couple seconds before Felix's voice was heard, spluttering. "No I wasn't! Fuck you!"

"Whoever dies last is my favorite," Y/N announced before muting again. Everyone muted, and Keith and Y/N both split up.

A few rounds in and people were accusing Y/N, rightfully of course, but she needed the target off of her back, so she offered to follow Mark around for a bit, which everyone agreed to. Keith groaned.

"Okay, I need to get two kills and make it look like a double kill if we want sus off of Y/N," he said. He followed Felix to the comms he had sabotaged, where the cooldown finished and then murdered him far enough inside where he wouldn't be found from the inside.

He waited patiently in comms, and finally his cooldown was finished again, and he watched as Sean came in and was about to report Felix's body, only to also be killed. He left for shields and vented away, waiting for someone to stumble across Sean's body in the hallway.

It didn't take long.

"I'm the favorite!" was the first thing yelled when the meeting was called. "Take that, Sean, Felix."

"Okay, so I found Sean's body in the hallway outside of comms, and so I went inside and Felix's body was in there," Corpse explained. "Mark, if you were with Y/N the whole time, that means she couldn't be guilty because this was a double kill."

"I was with Mark the whole time," Y/N said, confirming her innocence.

"Yeah, we were with each other the entire round, I saw her do tasks."

"Which means that Rae and Keith are the only two it could have been," Corpse concluded.

"What?! No!" Rae yelled.

"It could have been you, Corpse," Keith suggested. "Where were you?"

"Ah fuck, uh..." He was silent for a few seconds, obviously trying to retrace his steps. "I was up in medbay finishinv the anomaly task, and I then went down to security to check cams quick and see if anything was going on before crossing the hall to do the counting task. After that I went down to fix the lights and after that was done I figured I'd go over to right side to finish tasks over there where I crossed Rae doing the gas task, but she could have been faking, so I continued only to find Sean's body. Rae?"

"I was over at nav doing download and then headed over to admin to upload. I then went down so that I could also do lights but Corpse must have gotten to them first, so I began doing my gas task. I had contemplated doing a quick round to see if there were any bodies, but I didn't. Obviously I should have."

"Keith, would you like to share?"

"I went down to comms with Pewds to do a download but I left before he did. He seemed to be struggling with resetting it, so he was taking a while," Keith explained. "I went up to o2 to check in on Mark and Y/N, and then went up to weapons to do asteroids and upload."

"Can confirm. I did give Keith a little kiss on the cheek while Mark was doing leaves."

"You did what?! I'm voting Keith!"

"Mark no!" Y/N laughed.

"I think Keith would be the safe play here..." Corpse said, sounding only a little hesitant.

"There's two impostors, though," Y/N said. "Who's the second one? Rae?"

"Yeah."

"It's not me!" Rae said frantically. "I swear to God it wasn't me!"

Everyone voted Keith out and then continued on with their tasks. Eventually Y/N was left alone with Mark and Rae, and she made sure to kill Mark and let Rae report.

"Y/N just killed Mark!" Rae yelled.

"What do you mean?! You killed him! I spent all of last round with him, and there was a double kill. I can't have been one of the impostors!"

"Y/N's right, Rae. I saw both bodies right next to each other, there's no way it could have not been a double kill, and Y/N was with Mark all game," Corpse said.

The votes were cast, and Rae was kicked off. Y/N let out a sigh of relief as the impostor victory screen showed up.

"Can we talk about how fucking God tier of an impostor Keith is for a moment?" Y/N immediately said once she was unmuted. Keith preened a bit under the praise. "He killed Pewds, waited until his cooldown was done with, and then took out Jack, making it look like a double, which cleared me, and then fell on the fucking sword for me by not pushing Rae and making it seem more suspicious of her. Truly a fivehead move."

"I still can't believe it," Mark said. "I was happily playing the game, hanging out with my little baby sister as her favorite brother, and then she fucking kills me!"

"Hey hey hey, wait, hold up. I never said you were my favorite."

"You said-"

"I said whoever doesn't die is my favorite. Corpse, you're still my favorite brother."
