"Give that back!"
An angry voice echoed through the rooms of the tree house, followed by the thudding of boots on the wooden floor.
"Axel, I swear if I get my hands on you-!" Olivia yelled, as she chased Axel all around the small kitchen.
"Come on now, Liv!" He called over his shoulder. "Just one taste!"
"You took the whole flipping bowl!" Olivia pointed out furiously, as she tried to snatch the bowl of cake mix dough from his hands.
Axel quickly clambered onto the dining table, holding the bowl high into the air – out of Olivia's reach. She propped her hands on her hips, shaking a string of loose black hair from her face.
"Do you always have to be this impossible??" She asked in annoyance.
"Loosen up, he's just having fun!" Petra called over from where she was sitting cross legged on the counter – despite how many times Olivia had told her to get off.
"You can have fun without ruining this." Olivia snapped, not bothering to look back at the redhead. "Come on, Axel, get off the furniture."
Axel pouted as he clambered down and reluctantly let Olivia take back the bowl.
"I swear there's less dough in here than before you got your hands on it." Olivia muttered as she stomped her way back to kitchen.
"And Petra, stop eating the icing sugar!" She scolded as she snatched it from Petra's hands. "And get down from the counter."
"Rules, rules, rules." Petra muttered under her breath. She still ignored Olivia's orders and stayed on the spot.
The trapdoor to the tree house opened and Lukas came inside, carrying a brown paper bag underneath one arm.
"Oh, thank god you're back!" Olivia gasped, yanking the bag from Lukas's arms before he was even completely inside.
"Thanks so much for running to town for more ingredients." She said as she put the bag on the counter and started packing out various ingredients.
"Considering these two-" Olivia gestured towards Petra and Axel who were now both eating the icing. "-wasted it all."
"Hey, it was Petra's idea to do an egg toss!" Axel quickly argued.
"Are you selling me out?" Petra asked, shoving Axel slightly.
Lukas just laughed, while Olivia muttered something about them being childish. She strode over to the counter, which Petra was still sitting on, before grabbing the icing from them once again.
"Could you two leave the frosting alone already?" She asked, as Petra and Axel folded their arms like petty children.
"Stuck up." Axel muttered, while Petra stuck her tongue out at Olivia.
"I'm not being stuck up." Olivia said, as she started cracking the eggs to add them to the mixture. "I just want this to be ready for Jesse when she comes home."
"She's probably not going to be home for another few hours, we have plenty of time." Petra pointed out, as she reached for the icing sugar again when Olivia wasn't looking.
Olivia just groaned and rolled her eyes, before starting to add the sugar to the mix. Lukas's eyes grew wide.
"Olivia! You're not measuring the sugar correctly!" He gasped.
