"Mum!"
Silence followed.
"Mum!?"
...
"MUM!!!"
"WAT!?"
"GET UP HERE NOWWWW!!!"
Julia made her way up the stairs, as slow as she could might I add!

"What's the matter Cam?" She came in and found me laying on my bed, face up, holding my hands like I'm praying.

"So many things," I looked my hands in front of my face as if I didn't know what they were, "the world... it's not balanced..."

She held the wash basket on her one hip and with her hand on the other she glared at me. I glanced over at her and noticed how impatient she was growing.

I sighed "Prasila got the new Midnighters 45 before me therefore she has 'bragging rights' but she shouldn't get them because she knows nothing of my babies!" I exclaimed. She rolled her eyes and chucked a sock at me. It was one of dad's sweaty ones "AGH!" I fell off my bed backwards and quickly got on my knees at her feet.

"Mother! Do you care not of my life?! The social one specifically. You would leave me to wither at some fake fans feet!? This is a travesty! A true mockery to god and to man!" I yelled grabbing my heart and dramatically falling to my death.

Sighing she turned to me finally. "Camille..." I shot my arm up and choked, "bluh." My tongue fell out of my mouth. "Are you asking for the 45?" I rolled over and propped myself up on my elbows. "Oh... well, I mean it would be appreciated, but I actually wanted the sheet music so I can one up her by playing it." I grinned so all my teeth were showing.

She rolled her eyes. "Why don't you play it by ear? You do that all the time, and besides, can't you just get one from Tony's with your employee discount?"

"Well, technically I'm not an employee, not old enough yet, I'm a volunteer with tips."

"Figure it out Camille." She proceeded with her laundry collecting.

I began to scream into a pillow when suddenly I heard a knock on the window. I quickly ran and locked my door so no one could come in. "John! What ave I told you about coming here?" I whispered swatting at his head as he came in.

"Oye! Your mum wouldn't mind, me being a gentlemen and all." He said as he bowed and kissed my hand. I rolled my eyes and prepared the noise barrier. I put on my new favorite Bill Haley and His Comets 45 and the song began.

"One, two, three O'clock, four O'Clock rock." John took my hair brush and began to use it as a microphone and lip synced to the hit. I giggled and chucked a pillow at him. He caught it and jumped on the bed at me and we began to pillow fight. He surrendered as I grabbed a second pillow. Chuckling he sprawled himself across my bed. I laid next to him.

"What happened this time?" I asked, still staring at the ceiling. He groaned, "Mimi's got her knickers in a twist over some bird." I raised my eyebrow. "Johnathon! I'm shocked! A love interest whom which I wasn't informed of?" He rolled his eyes. "First, that's not my name. Second, you can't get all twisted too, the bird is you after-all." I blushed a bit. "Me? What did I do?"

"Well," He scratched the side of his mouth, "She found out about you sneaking in my room, thinks we are being naughty, wants to meet you."

"Oh, that's not too bad, startled me there Winston." He sat up. "Correction, prudence," We both hated our Middle names. "She will hit you low, find out your weakness just by looking at ya."

I scoffed, "You make her sound like Spring-heeled Jack." John laid back down besides me and huffed out a breath. "She might as well be. She always seems to leap one step ahead of me. I'm fifteen now, I think it's about time she gave me some freedom."

"John, you have been sneaking out since you we were eleven, Mimi has every right to be strict on you."

"Doesn't matter anyways, she wouldn't listen when I told her there was nothing between us she didn't believe me." His words stung a bit, she has never met me! She has no right to assume I'm some whore messing with her nephew.

"Tell her I'll be there. When will I be there, exactly?" I asked. John snapped his neck to look at me. "Cam, you don't have to do this. I know how ya feel about Mims, and I don't want ya to be uncomfortable."

I smiled at him, "It's okay John, I should go and make it known I'm no threat." He engulfed me in his arms, "You're the best." Then he quickly ripped away and looked away, as did I since there was a blush plastered on my face.
"I gotta go." He said as he began to open the window. "Oh, and Camille," I looked over at him, "dress nice, Mimi likes classic girls." He smirked and lept from the window.

I faced the ceiling and closed my eyes as the song played out.

"We're gonna rock, gonna rock, around the clock tonight."
