The 2016 Melon Music Awards was quite the night for Bella. She was very nervous about their performance despite rehearsals going much better than expected. Her blouse had ripped just ten minutes before they were scheduled to go on stage. She was worried about Jeonghan springing up from the floor at the beginning of the performance.
Despite all of the stress and complications, the performance itself was phenomenal.
After grabbing a couple of water bottles for her members, she walked out to find their seats. The rest of the group was already seated on a couch behind another group: EXO. As she approached, Vernon stood and met her halfway, grabbing the water bottles out of her hand and passing them down the row.
Being the respectful gentlemen that they are, the nine members of EXO (a/n: ot9 or die amirite) all stood up and bowed to her. She bowed as well, sending each of them a friendly smile.
As she made her way down the row, she found herself seated between Madison and Vernon on the far end of the sofa.
Madison, not making eye contact, nudged her gently and said, "Don't look now, but Suho sunbaenim has not stopped staring at you."
Bella turned and looked straight at him. Madison almost cursed at her.
"Bitc— didn't I just say not to look?"
Bella smiled shyly as her and Suho broke eye contact. She could see that he was smiling, too. "Sorry."
She had always thought he was attractive but wow, from this angle he was just gorgeous.
After watching Twice's performance, Vernon leaned across Bella to speak to Madison. "You seeing this, too?"
"Oh, I'm seeing it," Madison answered, immediately knowing what he was talking about. "How could you not see it?"
Bella looked at both of them, completely oblivious. "What're you seeing? The zombie back-up dancers? They were pretty cool, I was watching the one over th—"
"Nooo," Vernon interrupted. "Suho."
"Oh." Her cheeks were heating up again. "What about him? Was he dancing along?"
"He was watching you basically the entire time," Madison said matter-o-factly.
Bella shook her head. "That's not true."
"Yes, it is," Madison and Vernon said at the same time.
Hoshi, who was on the other side of Madison, leaned forward to look at Bella. "It's definitely true. Did you really not notice?"
