Same Age Friend Squads

inspired by the "'92 club" (jin, hani, moonbyul, ken, sandeul, baro) and their adorable interactions. i love wholesome idol friendships so much.

disclaimer: these are not ALL of the girls' same age friends. this is just a small clique of friends that all hang out together. (ie. chacha is friends with twice's jeongyeon, but they hang out separately/rarely)

BELLA + THE '95 LINE

(BlackPink's Jisoo, GFriend's Sowon, Twice's Nayeon, BTOB's Sungjae, Vixx's Hyuk, NCT's Johnny)

- their gc is called "Beagles"...can you guess why?

- all of them have fairly similar personalities

- they're all outgoing and fun

- before it was known that they were close friends, there were lots of dating rumors surrounding them all

- "Dating Jisoo, Sowon, Bella, or Nayeon? I'd rather die. It's like dating my sister. None of us are dating, I promise you. I could vomit just thinking about it." -Hyuk on a radio interview

- their outings consist of fun activities like bowling, laser tag, escape rooms, and amusement parks

- the "Beagles" are regarded as "goals"...same level of popularity as the iconic '97 line

- they're variety show gold

- very loud

- BTS' Taehyung and Jimin are honorary members and come hang out when they can. they talk in the gc sometimes but most people don't know they're even in it

- the four girls were once featured on an episode of BlackPink House doing a scavenger hunt around Seoul together. they called Sungjae at one point to ask for help (he did not help at all if you were wondering)

CHACHA + '96 LINE

(NCT's Doyoung + Ten, Red Velvet's Joy, BAP's Zelo, IKON's BI)

- super chill, super sexy

- Ten created their gc and called it "Baddies" and everyone's too lazy to change it

- extremely low key

- their gc could be dead for weeks at a time before one of them texts "is everyone still alive?" then it's alive again for like three days, then it's dead again

- it's mostly BI or Ten who initiates the conversations

- you wouldn't even know they were all such close friends if Joy didn't spill the tea on Weekly Idol one day

- we only ever see them interact when they're near each other for awards shows/public events

- they send each other thumbs up and finger hearts, and give high fives

- they do hang out a lot, however, just privately

- they mostly hang out by going to someone's studio and songwriting/recording together

- Zelo once went on IG Live with all of them where BI swore and then got hit by Joy and Cha...none of them knew they were being recorded

MADISON + THE '98 LINE

(Pentagon's Kino + Wooseok, NCT's Jungwoo, Astro's Moonbin, SKZ's Minho, Twice's Dahyun, (G)I-dle's Soyeon + Soojin)

- soft soft soft soft soft

- literally the biggest group of uwu babies you ever did see (minus Soyeon, she's like the hot mom who acts like she hates them but secretly loves them)

- they send lots of encouraging messages and photos to each other

- they're all just really whipped for each other

- they're not shy about expressing their love for each other

- NCT was standing behind SVT at a music show and Jungwoo was resting his chin on Madison's head the whole time

- they like to go out to dinner, go to the beach, hang out by the Han River, and have sleepovers

- they've been dubbed "visual friends" by knets

- their gc is called "MooMiSooDaSoWooKiJuMa" because Jungwoo thought it was funny. they can all say it at normal speed like it's a regular word and are often asked to say it on shows

- they did an iconic ad campaign together (with other '98 liners, but they were all in it)

GIGI + THE '00 LINE

(NCT's Haechan + Jaemin + Jeno + Renjun, SKZ's Jisung + Hyunjin + Seungmin + Felix, Astro's Sanha, Pristin's Xiyeon, CLC's Eunbi, Gugudan's Hyeyeon)

- Gigi has a lot of friends, alright?

- NCT's '00 line and SKZ's '00 line are a package deal, so it's all or nothing here

- honestly so iconic. '97 line WHO? I only know a '00 line

- they're insane together

- not very private at all about their friendship

- they talk about each other all the time on variety shows, etc etc

- they've only been able to hang out with each other as a whole group twice, but they talk in the gc every day

- Sanha created the gc, but Haechan named it

- it's named "LEGENDS"...in all caps

- one time Gigi texted the group while she was on NCT's radio show, SKZ were on music bank, Pristin and Astro were backstage at Inkigayo, and CLC were recording for a reality show. literally all of them got the message while being recorded. it was perfect timing.

i got asked to do another sexual tension chapter, so that might be next. also someone YELLED AT ME to tell them what's up with gihae/jaeson. LISTEN...ya girl is in college struggling, okay? PLS DON'T YELL AT ME I'M ALREADY EMOTIONAL ENOUGH. i'll get to it soon, i swear! teaser: one couple definitely had a thing and one definitely didn't. :)

also idk what part i'm on but there might have to be a book two soon. yikes.
