Dancing Legends | Week 2

Welcome back!

We just got blessed with yet another hour long episode of our new addiction: KBS2's Dancing Legends!

As the show recently revealed, every other week they'd give the dancers a theme and this week's theme was...young love! Are you ready to get goosebumps all over your body? Well buckle in, here is the Week 2 recap of Dancing Legends!

Coming in first place this week with their first perfect score of the season, a 50, was...our Adorkable Couple, Hoshi and Yuju! They absolutely captivated us with their prom-themed performance of Collide. Check it out below. (a/n: minus the kiss scene at the end.)

They easily had the most creative performance this week and their chemistry continues to blow us all away. The dance itself was super cute and perfectly captured the essence of the theme of young love.

You guys know this is my absolute favorite couple! There were so many cute moments this week, but one of my favorites had to be when they were rehearsing the segment where Yuju has to roll down Hoshi's leg and end with the back of her head on his foot. They couldn't get the timing right for a while, so she'd constantly end up with her mouth near his foot. He'd even wiggle his toes playfully in her face as she'd shriek and scurry to get away from him. Their chemistry is perfect.

Coming in a veeeery close second place with a score of 49 is the Cutie Couple, Kino and Jane! Are you seeing a theme here? The highest scoring couples this week are the couples who seem to fit the theme perfectly. They wowed the audience with their cute performance of Lost In Japan. (a/n: skip to 2:00).

These two were absolutely magnificent to watch. The dance fit both of their fun-loving and sweet personalities perfectly!

My favorite moment of these two was when they were listening to their song choice for the first time and reading lyric translations, trying to get a vibe on the song. Jane asks, "Do you have any questions before we start?" Kino, being the fun flirt that he is, replies with, "Yeah...you wanna get lost in Japan with me?" They definitely earned their nickname of Cutie Couple because Jane literally ran out of the room in embarrassment. I uwu'd so hard.

And in third place with a score of 46 (their highest ranking so far) was the Maknae Couple, Gigi and Jisung! They made all of us feel like teenagers again with their performance of Sugar.

Judge Shindong complimented them on acting their age; giving us a performance that was cute, fun and flirty without being too serious because it worked perfectly for them! I couldn't agree more.

My favorite moment of this episode for these two was when Jisung teased his noona about Haechan! So it seems that they're aware of the dating rumors! While in the middle of rehearsing, when they look at each other and are standing a bit close, Jisung started laughing and said, "Are you sure Haechan would be okay with this? That is your boyfriend, isn't it?" Gigi starts blushing furiously and punches his arm, telling him to shut up and get back to work.

She didn't confirm nor deny anything, only told him to stop talking. So...GiHae? Who knows?

Unfortunately, we had to say goodbye to our favorite Badass Couple, Lisa and Seungwoo. They worked hard, but it just wasn't good enough this week. Being soft and cute just didn't appeal with these two as much as it did for the other couples, which is a shock considering the judges anticipated Seulgi and Taeyong would have the hardest time with this.

Congratulations to both Lisa and Seongwoo. You've worked hard!

In fifth place was our Pro Couple, Kai and Momo, with their mesmerizing performance of It's You.

In sixth place was the Killer Couple, Shownu and Bomi, who definitely killed us with Light's On.

3rd place - Pro Couple (Kai and Momo)

4th place - a tie between Maknae Couple (Gigi and Jisung) and Cutie Couple (Kino and Jane)

5th place - Killer Couple (Shownu and Bomi)

okay hear me out: i decided i'm gonna do separate chapters of the members going to make surprise appearances, being guest judges, etc. so hopefully that'll go more into detail of the behind the scenes moments. this is supposed to be a review/blog post, so it wouldn't make a whole lot of sense for the writer to write about every little funny moment, you know? so that's coming next.

also, this is an svt au. i'm not gonna write in depth on the cute moments between seulgi and taeyong or shownu and bomi lol.
