[ALLKPOP Article] The SVT-LADY/Pristin Beef

With the holiday season quickly approaching and the fresh news of Pristin and SVT-LADY's Christmas collaboration, we thought we'd take a look back at the time when these two co-company groups basically hated each other.

Let's start by confirming that both leaders, Bella and Nayoung, have confirmed that there was some tension and hostility in the past, but they've grown and matured and are best friends now!

That being said...let's get down to the tea.

Bella was the first Pledis Girl to join the company, followed soon after by ChaCha and Nayoung.

As more and more girl members started filling in, the groups were told that they'd train as two separate groups: Pledis Boys and Pledis Girls.

Out of nowhere, though, four girls were moved from Pledis Girls and told they were going to debut with the boys, who were now called Seventeen: Nayoung, Xiyeon, ChaCha, and Madison.

Can you see how things are getting tricky already?

Again, the company made a switch up and moved Nayoung and Xiyeon back to Pledis Girls and moved Gigi and Bella up to Seventeen.

When Seventeen debuted first and public opinion started coming in, it was like adding fuel to a fire.

Comments consisted of things like, "They moved up because the company knows only those four can keep up with the boys."

"I bet Nayoung feels so silly being replaced by a '00 liner. Must suck being untalented."

"I bet the SVT girls are thanking God that they didn't have to debut in that stupid girl group."

If the girls of Pristin weren't annoyed before, they definitely were now.

Flash forward a little bit to after Pristin has debuted and things get a little more interesting.

Oh, yes. I'm talking about the fan favorite 'love triangle' between Madison, Minghao, and Kyulkyung.

The two girls, both born in '98, were rumored to have absolutely hated each other because of the debut drama, and the fact that Minghao seems to adore both of them didn't help at all.

Don't you guys remember that now famous fan cam at the ISACs where Minghao slips away from the group to talk with Kyulkyung, and Madison is seen glaring at them? Iconic.

There were also rumors that the two leaders, who are now best friends, fell off after Seventeen debuted. Bella was suddenly much busier and Nayoung was still training, so they didn't have time to see each other as much. Sources say that Nayoung felt betrayed when Bella left to debut with Seventeen.

Even though a good amount of this was confirmed by members themselves, we'd again like to remind you all that they've grown and matured and are now closer than ever!
