Madison was given time off during promotions to go and visit her family back home in Texas. Her brother Mackenzie was home for a break during his college semester, and her other two brothers Mattix and Micah were visiting home, so it was one of the few times her entire family was able to be together.
The rest of Seventeen did a V-Live on a particularly uneventful day.
"Yah! Should we call Madison?" Bella suggested.
"Yes!" Seungcheol agreed, already pulling his phone out of his pocket. A staff member took it from him and called Madison while the group answered fan questions in the meantime.
"Hello?" Madison's sweet voice was heard on speakerphone, immediately capturing the attention of her members.
"Madison! Hi!" Gi yelled.
"Madison-ah!" Seungkwan and Jun screamed.
"Madds!" Dino also called out.
"Hi, everyone! I was just about to watch the V-Live!" she said, giggling.
The group couldn't help their smiles. She truly was the fake maknae.
"Why don't you say something for the Carats?" Jeonghan suggested.
"Ah...okay!" Madison dramatically cleared her throat, making everyone chuckle. "Carats! I hope you're all feeling okay. I miss you all very much! I came back home to America for a little while to visit my family, but I'll be back soon, I promise! The members are doing so well without me, right? Hwaiting!"
"Should you each say something to her?" a staff member asked, and the members agreed.
"Maddie-ah," Hoshi started during his turn. He was the only one who called her that. "It's lonely without you. When just one of us is gone, it feels empty, right?"
The group nodded.
"Uh...I really miss you."
The rest of the group dramatically oooooh'ed at his adorably sincere words as his face started to turn beet red.
There was a moment of silence as they awaited her response.
"Soonie, I've missed you from the moment I left."
DK, Vernon, Gi, Dino, Seungcheol, Bella and Joshua couldn't handle this. They either covered their mouths, cooed, or gripped their hearts.
