The waiting was the hardest part for Joe. The mere fact that she offered herself to him, was very tempting. Oh so very tempting. He wanted to just disappear with her, but he couldn't. He had obligations.

The evening was dying down, midnight had come and gone. He had tried to find her for the New Year's kiss, but she was no where to be found. As everyone was leaving the party, Joe took out the key card in his wallet and looked at it, debating.

He walked out of the club and stopped in his tracks. She was standing near the elevators, her back against the wall, a wicked grin on her face.

"I didn't think you'd show."

"I almost didn't." He held her gaze, his heart beating widely in his chest.

The elevator dinged, then opened up. Joe stepped in after Amelia, they were the only two in the car. When the door shut, Joe reached her in two quick steps. His face was inches from hers. He put his hand on either side of her face, digging his hands into her hair, his thumbs lightly caressed her cheek. His eyes searched hers, his lips moving closer to hers. She closed her eyes and felt his lips lightly brush hers. The kiss was soft at first, each testing the waters. She parted her lips and Joe groaned as her tongue snaked into his mouth, begging for access.

Joe pulled back and stepped away from her, his breath in ragged gasps, his body on fire. "No, we can't do this."

The doors opened to her floor and she stood there looking at him. "Joe." Her eyes pleaded with him.

He held open the door so it wouldn't shut. "I'm sorry."

She shook her head. "I don't want to hear it Joe. We both want this. My heart aches for you for the want of you. I can't deny this. Please, let me have you just for tonight."

Joe looked at her, the bell on the elevator began to ring, he stepped out and looked at her. "You'll regret everything in the morning."

"That maybe, but it's for me to deal with it. I'm letting you make love to me Joe because I can see in your eyes that you do." She said as tears filled her eyes. "Tell me you don't and I will walk away right now."

Joe looked at her, then grabbed her and passionately kissed her. "I do want you, I've wanted you since I first met you." He began to kiss her neck, than looked into her eyes. "Are you sure about this?"

She nodded. "Yes."

He picked her up, wrapping her legs around his waist and walked the short distance to her room. He took the key from her, while still kissing her and opened the door.

He shut the door with his foot. He stopped her feet from touching the floor when she was eye level with him. His baby blue eyes searched hers. He kissed the top her nose before moving to gently caress her lips with his. This was wrong, he knew it, but this was the only way to get her out of his system.

"Are you sure about this?" He asked again into her ear.

She wrapped her arms around his neck and buried her face into his neck. She had never been so sure of anything in her life. She wanted Joe more than ever.

"Yes."

She placed a kiss on his neck and smiled when she heard him groan. She wanted to know all the spots that drove him wild.

He let the feeling of her lips on his neck travel throughout his body, every nerve, alive on fire. He let her feet touch the floor and there eyes locked. In an instant, he scooped her up in his arms again and carried her to the bedroom.

Joe laid her on the bed and stepped back to take her in. She had always taken his breath away, from the very moment he laid eyes on her. But know, seeing her lying on the bed, her hair fanned out on the sheets he never wanted to be with anymore more than her right now. Her eyes sparkled in the light from the bathroom and seemed so beautiful, almost angelic. He was almost afraid to touch her for fear he would find out that this was a dream. Here she was, offering herself to him, with no strings attached.
