ZIRCON'S POV
You speak up. "Um...is there some sort of rule against you still being my usual dragon?"
"Yes. Yes there is," Cierein says coolly, "at least, there is now."
You sigh, wondering who's going to let you ride them around now. Cierein's attitude towards you was never the best - though you're almost certain you made it get worse - but you really just need a new dragon who's willing to let you ride them around. You don't care about the attitude, really.
A small gray dragon steps up to you. It looks just like Taea, and you stare for a moment. "Who are you?"
"I'm Cyrvess! ...I believe you knew my mother?" the dragon replies, looking at you curiously.
"If you mean Taea, then yes, I did."
"Yeah!" Cyrvess says enthusiastically.
"How did I never know about you?" you ask, confused.
"After Taea died, I tried to keep off the island as much as possible. But I happened to be around today. If you want, I'd be happy to fly you around."
"Um...sure," you say. It won't be easy to adjust, but at least you know the dialect, and if her attitude towards you is better, then...this will work out.
LILAC'S POV
You told some of the more magically-inclined dragons about the journal, and they agreed that putting wards up on the island was a good idea. If Amily returned...you don't want to think about it, but it wouldn't be anything good.
But now, there's wards in place, and you feel like it will all work out.
So you relax in the bright sunshine, some of the hatchlings playing near you, and it all seems right.
ELEA'S POV
Your arm has healed, and you're ready to start investigating again...but you won't. There's still been no dragon attacks, and honestly, you don't care about it any more. The different group of dragons only attacked once, and for once, you feel completely safe.
You sigh. "Guess I'm out of a job. I should just be a normal knight, really. It's a much better job."
