I leaned back against Dan, trying to get comfortable. The movie was just beginning to start and i couldn't get in a comfy position. "Stop movingg." Dan whined as I readjusted myself yet again. "I'm sorry! Its not my fault you're so bony!" I argued back. He stuck his tongue out at me and scrunched my face up in return. "You're such a bother. Why am I friends with you again?" He stated, looking at the ceiling. "Because you love me." I said, wrapping my arms around his lanky frame. "Oh yeah." He said, looking down at me. I saw his eyes flicker with something I couldn't quite recall. I brushed it off and tried to focus on the tv screen. 

Half way through Finding Nemo I had falled asleep. A burst of noise from the television woke me up but I was too groggy to open my eyes. I was content laying on Dan with Finding Nemo as background noise. It was relaxing unlike our usual loud, energetic hang out sessions. I was half asleep when I heard Dan start to speak. I figured he was just talking to Phil, probably asking him to get him a snack. But wait, wasn't Phil on a trip for some meeting? I sighed giving up and blaming it on my still sleepy mind.

My ears perked when I heard my name and yeah he was definitely speaking to me. "Sabrynah, are you asleep?" A short moment passed and when I didn't respond he continued. "Well, I just wanted to say I love you. Like I'm in love with you. Not the best friend way. I've been trying for so long to just man up and confess my feelings. I'm just too awkward and afraid I'll screw up. But, this is a good step right. I mean you're here. You're just not like, concious. But fuck, im so in love it hurts. It hurts so bad I can barely contain it.' My heart fluttered at his words and my breath quickened. I couldn't believe he felt the same. After so, so long I finally found out he was in love with me too. 

"Dan?" I whispered, building up the courage to speak. "Sabrynah? You're awake?" His eyes were wide and blood rushed to color his cheeks. "I heard everything." I whispered, this moment felt so fragile and I didn't want to shatter it with loud voices. "Oh." His lips were in a 'O' shape and his cheeks were still bright red. "I-I feel the same." I stated. The tension in the air disappeared with my words and Dan leaned down to kiss me. I kissed back, letting myself get caught up with his lips. "I love you." He said. "I love you too."
