[D A N I E L  S E A V E Y]

"baby, i'm bored." elaina whined, as i was writing a song.

recently, i have been having a lot of song ideas come to me, and i don't really know why. honestly, i just sit down at the table with my notebook, and let my hand roam free with words. in the end, i find a full song written. one of the songs in particular is one that i want to sing to elaina. it's titled, 'come back'. it's pretty much about how i felt without her and how happy i am now that she's back in my life.

"babe, i'm writing." i told her, putting my focus back on my notebook.

"is the song about me?" she asked, coming behind me and snaking her arms around my waist while putting her head on my shoulder.

"aren't my songs always about you?" i responded, putting my pen down and switching my focus to her

"so your guy's song 'perfect' is about me?" she frowned jokingly.

"oh fuck to the no." i replied, causing her to giggle. "jonah wrote that about his ex and thought it would be a good idea to have one song that's not about 'a perfect relationship'."

she smiled and kissed my cheek.

god damn.

that fucking smile of hers gets me every time. it's so beautiful, yet so complex. it makes me even happier when i am the cause of the most beautiful thing on earth.

"you're looking at me like that again." she mumbled into my ear.

"you're just so beautiful, babygirl. i can't help it." i smiled, pressing a soft kiss onto her neck.

"thank you, dani." she told me, removing her arms from around me and coming in front of me to sit on my lap.

we had a nice, short silence in the blissful moment, until she decided to speak up.

"can i read one of your songs?" she asked quietly, stroking my hair.

"if you let me choose which one." i negotiated, and she agreed. so i opened up my notebook and flipped to a song called 'sunshine'. it's about how i never realized how dark my life was until elaina came into it, like if you're locked in a dark room and never truly realize how dark that room is until you step into the sunshine.

by the time she finished reading the song, she had tears in her eyes, though i knew they weren't tears of sadness. they were tears of joy.

"oh my god baby, this is so amazing." she gushed, putting my notebook back in the table. "i can't believe you wrote that."

"well, as long as you write exactly how you feel." i smiled. "before i met you, i never actually knew how dark my life was until i was introduced to you, then it was like somebody opened the curtains and my sunshine was released." i explained, placing a soft kiss on her lips.

"how do we make normal everyday moments turn into dramatic scenes from a romance movie?" she laughed, pulling away from the kiss.

"i don't know, but i like these moments." i grinned, putting my head on her shoulder.

"i love you, daniel." she whispered into my ear. "i love you more than anything in the world."

"i love you more than you could ever imagine. you are my whole universe." i replied, once again connecting my lips with hers and both of us smiled, feeling happy and content.

this is what i want for eternity. just me, her, and in the future maybe a few children living this paradise we call life everyday for the the rest of our days.
