[E L A I N A  H O P E]

christina and corbyn had come over with jacob so we could all hang out, since they've been so occupied with the baby. we were all watching a movie, until i started to feel some pain in my stomach and a bit of pressure underneath my ribcage.

"hey christina, is it normal to feel some pressure below your ribcage?" i asked her, lightly clutching on my stomach.

"oh shit, the only time i felt pressure was when i was having contractions. are you having contractions?" she asked worriedly.

"i don't know. i've never been pregnant before. i've definitely never felt this befo- OW," i felt a sharp pain on my pelvis and i yelled in pain.

"oh shit girl, you're going into labor," her eyes went wide and she ran over to me, "corbyn, take jacob home and meet us at the hospital. i'll take elaina," she directed, so corbyn carefully picked up jacob and left the house quickly.

she grabbed my hand and she helped guide me to the car. i was in the passenger's seat breathing heavily and trying to distract myself from the agonizing pain. then i though of daniel.

"christina, take my phone and call daniel," i said, worry stringing through my words.

"yeah, yeah, of course," she grabbed my phone, still keeping her eyes on the road, and told siri to call daniel, but he didn't answer.

"just keep calling until he answers," i told her, clutching my stomach.

she kept calling, until i heard a voice that wasn't daniel's.

"hey, the boys are performing and i heard daniel's phone constantly going off. what's wrong?" it sounded like eben.

"hey eben, elaina is going into labor right now. please get daniel. i don't give a shit that they're performing, his fiancé is about to have two babies. go stop the show or something and get him," christina said in a stern voice.

i could hear eben running somewhere, then the sound of the boys singing and cheering. i'm assuming that's when he made it onto the stage. the boys stopped singing, but the background music continued. i heard eben say, "daniel, this is urgent. the boys can finish without you. you're needed."

i heard some footsteps, then the boys keep singing without daniel. eben gave daniel the phone and christina said, "hey daniel, your fiancé here is going into labor. you might need to find a way to get your ass to los angeles."

"what the fuck? she's early!" daniel sounded panicked, as was i, "is she with you?" christina nodded, "babe, can you hear me?"

i nodded, though i didn't say anything. i reached out to christina and took my phone from her.

"hey, baby, i'll get the closest flight to los angeles. i just ordered an uber to the airport," he said urgently, and it looked like he was pacing.

"it just hurts," i groaned, and i felt a tear fall from my eye.

"i know baby, i know. i'll be in los angeles as soon as possible," he assured me, but i didn't respond because i was having an unbearable amount of pain.

"okay elaina, give me your phone. we're here," christina said, so i handed her my phone, still breathing quite heavily.

she got out of the car and helped me out, walking me into the hospital and telling the front desk nurse that i was going into labor. the nurse rushed over and brought me a wheelchair, wheeling me down the hall and into a hospital room.

she told me that i could only have one person in the room, and i said christina, since she was the only one there. she told christina that she couldn't have the phone on in the room, and i heard daniel panic. i told him goodbye before the nurse hooked me up to a hospital bed and kept reentering to check how dilated i was. eventually, she brought the doctor in.

"hey elaina, so we're ready to do the procedure. we're going to numb your stomach then start the c-section, okay?" he asked, and i nodded eagerly, wanting this horrible amount of pain to end. i felt him put a shot into my stomach, which made it start to turn numb. he warned me that i'll feel a tingling sensation on my stomach, which will be him cutting into it.

i braced myself, then i started to feel the tingling. i looked up at christina, and she smiled, "elizabeth marie is out." after a couple of minutes she said, "zachary robert is out." i felt the doctor start to stitch me up, but i had to be still for an hour so i could become more stable.

"it's over," i breathed, smiling to myself, "can i see them? i want to see my babies." i said quickly.

"you can see them soon, just a couple more minutes," christina assured me.

those minutes felt like hours, but once they were up, i saw two nurses walk in with the most precious things i had ever seen in my life: my children.

one of them handed me a baby, and i smiled saying, "it's baby eliza." eliza is what daniel and i agreed her nickname would be, since elizabeth is a little bit long and formal.

i held her close to my chest and i felt a happy tear fall down my face. another nurse asked me if i wanted to hold zachary, so i handed eliza to christina and held zachary in my arms.

"here, hold eliza in one arm and zachary in the other. i'll take a picture and send it to daniel," christina instructed, so i carefully held eliza in one arm and zachary in the other, and smiled at them. i heard a camera click, and i looked back up at christina.

"i texted it to daniel, and he said that he can't make it in for another week. there's a massive plane stuck on the flight strip and they have to disassemble it. until then, there are no flights in and out of las vegas," she sighed, sitting down next to my bed.

one of the nurses said, "you need to rest, but your babies are extremely healthy. you can go home tomorrow morning." she smiled at me, and i returned it.

she was about to walk out of the room, but then i had an idea, "is it safe to travel long distances with two newborn babies?" i asked her.

she sat and thought for a moment, "i guess if you're driving, then it's totally safe. why?"

"because i want to drive down to vegas after i'm released tomorrow," i explained to her. she gave a concerned look, then i realized what she was worried about, "no, no, no, i don't want to go down there to drink or gamble or anything. my fiancé is in a band and he's going on a small tour right now. he's in las vegas at the moment. he couldn't make it since i was early. i want to drive down there and surprise him with the babies."

"aww, that's so sweet. yes, it's totally safe to drive with newborns," she smiled, before exiting the room.

"so you're driving to vegas tomorrow?" christina asked, wiggling her eyebrows.

"i guess so," i sighed, looking down at the beautiful babies in my arms. elizabeth looked just like daniel. she had the same bright blue eyes and little tuffs of brown hair coming out of her head. zachary, though, looked a lot more like me. he had a little dark brown hair growing out of his head and the same muddy brown eyes that i have.

"christina, what time is it?" i asked, yawning slightly.

"it's about 9:30. i'll get the nurse to take the babies and you can go to sleep. i bet corbyn is here in the waiting room, so i'll go home with him and i'll come get you tomorrow morning," she told me soothingly, before getting up to go get the nurse.

once the nurse took the babies, i knocked out and fell asleep.
