"Wake up, you bitch!"
I groaned and rolled over. "What time is it?"
I heard rustling. "Um... It's 7:00"
My eyes widened. "Work!" I jumped out of my bed and tripped in the process. Amber laughs at me.
I glared at her. I quickly get up off the ground and threw on my work clothes. "Can you please watch Felicity for me?"
"No." I paused and whip my head at her; almost giving me whiplash.
She raises her hands surrendering. "Ok, I will. Chill, I was only kidding."
I rolled my eyes and went over to Felicity. "Mommy will be back. Be good. Make sure you get fed." That last part was directed towards Amber.
"Yes, she will be good and well-fed. Now go!" Amber pushing me out the door. I walked to my car and turned it to life and drove to the restaurant.
I drove up to my work, called Dinner 'n Dine. I turn off my car and walked in.
"Morning, Dom!" When I walked in, I yelled at him.
"Morning, Soldier!" He yells back as he cleans the counter around the register.
I looked around the restaurant and see it wasn't quite busy, but there were some people chatting and drinking coffee.
Dom comes up to me and hands me an apron. "How's my princess?" I giggled. "She's fine. Bad. But fine."
"Mother like daughter." I gasp and hit his chest. He chuckled. "How's Dalton?" I asked. I've haven't seen him. "He-he's got a girlfriend."
My eyes widened in surprise. "Really? Who?"
"Um... Her name is Hannah." He said a little scared of my reaction. "Damn! Is she pretty?"
I've been overprotected over them like the way they are with me.
He nodded. "You're not mad?" I shook my head. "No! No. Why would I be?"
"I thought you liked him, still. And plus you go crazy protective"
I narrowed my eyes. "No. We are only friends. That would be rude." I chuckled with him. "Are you doing Linda's work?" I rolled my eyes. "Boy, don't get me started with her. I mean I don't know why she is even here if she doesn't come into work."
"You will be fine. You have me!" He nudged me. I let out a fake sigh. "I might as well rip my hair out." He rolled his eyes. I started to work. "I will talk to you on break." I nodded as he walked into the kitchen.
Today was packed with people. Huh? Did I wonder why? It's very unusual for this to be packed. That's when my whole world stopped. The group of people that had walked into the restaurant.
Breathing the same air as me, the same room as me. His people, family, and friends.
Now standing in front of me. It was like we were having a staring contest. None of us said a word, nor blinked.
"It's rude to stare, Lucky" Zack grinned, his big arm wrapped around Lilly. They all grinned. "Sorry," I muttered. Lilly hugs me even when the counter is in between us. "I missed you!" Loudly in my ear, making me flinch a little. "Miss you too."
"You still working at this hell hole?" Bryan rudely said. Michael and Lilly punch his shoulder and Bryan glares.
"My bad." I looked down in embarrassment. My cheeks burned with the blush.
Footsteps came closer and two fingers touched my chin making me look at him.
"Don't hide, Teddy. Bryan's an ass." I smiled but it didn't reach my eyes. He tilts his head and gives me a small smile. "Are you afraid?"
