The Beast Has Been Released (Book 2)

Chapter 23

I walk down the aisle with my arm hooked around my father. The song Here Comes The Bride plays on the piano by an old lady who I have never seen before and a whole bunch of other people I do not recognize. The dress I was wearing was a long, white ball gown that reaches the ground and dragged the fake rose petals. 

Both front and back were open laced with design flowers spreading all around. My hair was put up and curled passed my shoulders. A long white Veil that's in my hair flows down my back as I walked, a crown that was covered in real diamonds that had a heart shape design on top with a big diamond in the middle. This was a dream come true for me. My dad beside me as we walked down the aisle. On my biggest day ever.

I turned to my mom and can see the tears in her eyes with a big smile on her face. She was holding Felicity in her arms. "Mommy!" She waves. I did a little wave back. She giggles and hides in my mom's chest. Trying not to cry, I smiled back and continued to look around. I see Harley and Amber in a light blue dress that cuts down on their right side of their legs. They had light make-up on, their hair curled with a cute little tara to top it off. They smiled at me as I smiled back. They look beautiful as ever...like real princesses. I didn't notice before but there was a girl beside them... It was Lillyan. She was wearing the same thing as Harley and Amber. The only thing that was different about her was that her hair was put up.

My eyes left them and looked that the men. It was Dalton, Dominic, Michael, Zack, and Bryan. They had gray tuxes with a light blue tie and black shiny shoes. Overall, they look happy. Lastly, my eyes land on the man that's going to be marrying me. He was wearing an all-black tux, his hair slicked back. The side of his head was shaved letting his tattoos pop out. He had a serious look on his face, but when he meets my eyes. A huge smile breaks out on his face and tears in his eyes. When we got to the end of the aisle my father kissed my cheek and pats Reyes's shoulder before he takes a seat next to mom in the front. Reyes grabs my hands and looked into my eyes. The priest talks that seem like it was going on for hours, but I didn't care...I was happy. "Reyes, do you take this lovely wife to love and cherish you through thick and thin?" Reyes clears his throat. "I do," He said with no hesitation.

The priest then turns to me. "Artemis, do you take this man to be your husband to love and cherish you through thick and thin?" I look towards Reyes. "I-" I hesitated. I could feel Reyes's hands tightening on mine. It took everything in me to not flinch and to pull away. I continue to stare into his eyes. The fire lights up in his dark eyes make me want to look away but I can't. I can't move, it's like I was stuck. 

Like someone had put glue on the spot where I am standing. It feels like he can break my hands at any moment. "Ow, you hurting me," I whispered. The bright big smile he had once had turned into an evil smirk. "Say it." He leans in, "Say the words, kitten." I whimpered. I can feel heat run through my body as I start to sweat. "Look at them, kitten." I slowly drift my eyes towards the people. Everyone is on fire... burning up in flames.

Their screams bounce the burning walls in the church. "This is all your fault for not saying the words. Their blood is on you, kitten." I shook my head and squeeze my eyes. 'This is not real, this is not real' I chanted in my head. "Oh, no, kitten. This is real. This is what you did to the poor innocent people." 

Steaming hot tears spring out of my eyes. This is not tears of joy this is tears of fear. "You-you monster! You-you beast! You-you sick evil savage! I hate you!" I screamed in his face. "How could you do this to-to your family! Friends!" I let out a sob. He laughs evilly, "Oh, baby, I didn't do this," He chuckles and pokes my nose. "You did." I looked at Michael and can see him trying to reach for me as he screamed. His face turned black from being burnt. His eyes look like they were going to pop out any second.

I looked away from him and looked towards my parents and they are both screaming and crying. "Artemis! Why didn't you say the words."

"Look at what you did to us!" The girls screamed in agony.

"Why would you do this to us?" The boys yelled over the screams and cries.

Then I looked over at my Felicity. She was against a corner part of the church as the flames stand over her. "MOMMY!" She screamed.

"My baby!" I turned to Reyes. "Please stop." I got down on my knees and begged. "Please! I'm begging you!" He laughs out loud. "I love it when you beg to me but..." He drifted off. He rips me up off the ground and shakes me a little. "Just say the words and I will stop this nightmare." He trails his finger down my cheek and in the valley of my breast. I gulp, "I-I d-do." I stuttered out.

Suddenly, everything stops. There was no fire, no screaming, no pain. Everything was the way it was before. "See that wasn't hard was it?" He smirked, as I wiped my eyes furiously. "You're a bastard." I let out. "Yeah, I know. Well... You are going to need to kiss this bastard." He smashes his lips on mine. Then he pulls away.  "Though, I still can't let you off the hook." Confused about what he was saying.

I looked around to see everything still the same. Then, I started to feel this blasting heat riding up my body causing me to drop and scream in agony. "Ah! Reyes! What's going on!" I looked down as the fire is taking over my body. "Stop. Please. It. Hurts!" I gritted my teeth. As he laughs everyone around me started to laugh along with him. Pain. Hurt. Fear. They all overpowered the pain of the fire. I thought I was able to get through all this, to escape him but I'm too weak. He's too strong. I screamed again as the fire slowly takes over my body.

"I hate you!" He shook his head. "No, no you don't. You love me, there's proof when you said 'I do'" I gripped my hair. "Wake up!" I started to smack myself.

"This is all a dream! Wake up!"

My eyes snapped open and were immediately blinded by the light. My chest burned from the heavy breathing. My eyes felt heavy from crying. Once my eyes had finally adjusted to the light I look over that the people who were staring me down in confusion and pity. Michael was touching my shoulder, "You okay?" I swallowed. "Water." I coughed out. My throat sore from screaming. Lillyan nods and hands me a cup of water. I almost moaned when I took a sip of the water feeling it putting some light to the darkness in the back of my throat. "Sorry," I shivered. "I-I didn't mean to scare you."

"Its fine, kitten. Do you want to talk about it?" 

Ummmmmmmmmm........ again this had just come to mind without thinking. So I don't know if it makes any sense. Let me know if I should keep this chapter or should I take it out and find something better to write for this chapter. I will be finishing this book soon. I'm leaning toward chapter 25 plus a bonus chapter. The next few chapters will be pretty long so bear with me please and thank you!
