"N. O. That spells NO!" Travis yelled as Aaron lead them to a place they could talk to Ash in private. It was about 8:30 in the morning. After their confrontation with Jay at the "library", they decided they gained a lot more information and that they needed to get some sleep. That way they would have a better chance of understanding all the clues they gained.
Travis continued to try and persuade Aaron into changing his mind. "Aaron look. Ash is an annoying little brat who really rubs me the wrong way. She is completely crazy! Mental even! She is creepy, evil..." Travis continued to list all of Ash's non preferable attributes; however Aaron didn't hear a thing. He understood Travis was rather disgusted with Ash, and he didn't blame him. What he needed to understand here is was necessary in their search for the girls. That is what was important here.
He continued to tune Travis out as he rambled about Ash being a horrible person. To be fair, yes, what they've seen of Ash so far has been anything but pleasant. However they knew something about her now... that she was being controlled. He was determined to find out who was controlling her and find them.
"Look Travis," Aaron finally interrupted, "I'm not looking forward to it anymore than you are, okay? But it needs to be done! We know she has information! Information that we need to find out! Can you deal with her for like 10 minutes? For Katelyn?"
Travis stopped and put his head down. He thought to himself about some of the memories Katelyn and him shared. For Katelyn. He continued to play those two words in his head.
"Ok" he said flatly.
"Good" Aaron huffed as they continued to find a private place. Last time they talked to her, well, Aaron almost killed her. Literally. With witnesses. He wanted to make sure it was just them in case things got physical. Yes that sounds bad, but it's Ash so I'm sure he'll be forgiven. Besides, werewolves already weren't trusted. The last thing werewolf culture needed was Aaron murdering a seemingly helpless girl in the park. Talk about a bad rep.
Finally they settled on an area toward the back of one of Starlight's parks. Many of the guests were still asleep so no one else was in the park. They also thought it was a nice area because of all the green, which they thought Ash would appreciate.
"So... how do we get her attention?" Zane asked once they reached the area they wanted to talk to her in. Aaron suddenly felt stupid for not getting a plan for this earlier. So they thought for a moment, then Travis got an idea. "Do we call her name three times? That usually works."
He cupped his hands over his mouth and called out "Ash Ash Ash!"
Zane gave him a puzzled look and placed his hands in his pants pockets. Slouching over he asked, "Seriously Travis? That isn't gonna-"
Suddenly Zane was startled when he heard a "Hi" and turned around to see Ash. She was wearing a different outfit today. Her scarlet hair was pulled back into a ponytail, and her baby blue dress was replaced with a pink ballerina tutu. Complete with the slippers. Her makeup was nothing unusual, shockingly. She had a cat eye; and of course orange lipstick.
Zane rolled his eyes at the sight of her, and Travis shuddered in fear. Aaron however looked her right in the eye. He felt as if his stomach became hollow as he looked into her hazel eyes. She actually looked pretty.
"Hi Ash." Aaron started off.
Ash waved her hand high in the air. "Hi Aaron! I know you didn't want me to call you a wolf pup anymore... so I decided to stop calling you that! Other than in private... you can't control what I do in my private time!" She crossed her arms and stomped her foot. She would be cute.... if she was five rather then... well... how old was Ash? She looked about early twenties.
