The Triple Date Disaster

Chapter 7: Aarmau

Aaron, Zane, and Travis just stood in a circle together. Zane turned to Travis, "No Travis, I didn't hear a whistle... but I swear I heard a bell..." "A bell?" Aaron and Travis both asked in unison. They all stared at each other, confused.

Finally Aaron asked Zane and Travis what they were doing. Zane responded, "I can't find Nan-Kawaii~Chan! I can't find Kawaii~Chan anywhere." Travis's eyes went wide. "No way! That's basically the same as me. I'm looking for Katelyn." Aaron asked them both, "Where did you look?" "Everywhere!" they both responded.

"I'm sure they're somewhere. Maybe Aph saw them?" Aaron stated as he began to walk past them. Aaron lead the way as Travis and Zane followed.

They found Aphmau in the living area. Aaron called, "Hey Aph!" and walked up to her. Aphmau turned around and walked up to him. "Hey Aaron" she stated as she lifted herself onto her tippy-toes to give him a kiss.

Aaron leaned over to return the kiss. As they kissed, Aaron heard a howl. Shocked at what he heard, he opened his eyes. What he saw- or rather didn't see scared him. Aphmau was gone. He turned to Zane and Travis asking, "Where did Aphmau go?"

Zane and Travis stood there with their jaws hanging so low they could fit a whole turkey in their mouths. "What?" Aaron asked. Travis tried to answer, "Aph... she... she just... how did... she..." "She dissolved!" Zane interrupted. Aaron couldn't help but laugh. "I'm sorry... she what?" "Turned to dust... misted away... dissolved into the air!" Travis yelled.

Now Aaron was starting to get annoyed. "Haha guys very funny, do you guys have cameras? Aph you can come out now!" he called. Zane walked up to Aaron, "I'm serious, she just..." Zane couldn't finish the sentence. It was just too weird.

Travis chimed in asking, "What if the same thing happened to Katelyn and Kawaii~Chan? What if they 'dissolved' when we weren't looking?" Neither Zane nor Aaron bothered answering him. No way that is what happened.... I mean that's impossible... right?

The three of them continued to walk around the apartment. They looked everywhere. They even looked around the beach for them. They searched everywhere on Starlight that they had access to without having to rent a boat.

After they finished looking it was already 9am the next morning. They even printed flyers and handed them out. In a way it felt unnecessary. They weren't even gone 24 hours. However they still worried. They were really worried.

They got back to the apartment and Zane sank into the couch. Aaron asked, "Zane, you okay?" Zane started softly, "You really think I'm okay?" Then Zane was reduced to shouting, "Kawaii~Chan and I were sitting together! On this couch! She was resting on my shoulder, I basically close my eyes and she's just gone! It's possible that my girlfriend just dissolved into thin air and there's no way of getting her back!"

Aaron tried to be understanding. However before he knew it he was shouting to. "Zane how do you think I feel? My fiance just went missing! In front of me! I wasn't even aware she was in trouble! I close my eyes and she's gone! My fiance Zane!"

Zane argued back, "Oh so think just because Kawaii~Chan and I aren't engaged it's not as relevant? Not as hurtful? Worrying?" Aaron answered, "Of course not! I was just-" "Stop!" Travis yelled, "The girls wouldn't want us to fight." "You make it sound like they died." Zane stated. Travis sighed, "Well, they did-" Aaron interrupted him, "Don't you finish that sentence!"
