The Triple Date Disaster

Chapter 20: Nana

"Nana!  Where are you?" Zane called into the deep, dark wood.  He estimated it to of been about an hour since Aaron, Travis, Katelyn, and *gag* Ash left.  He wondered what they were up to now.  He wondered if they found everyone already, he wondered if Ash was still annoying them, and he wondered how bad the whole forever potion situation was.

It pained him to think that someone brought the forever potions back.  At the lodge they caused so much pain and hurt; he didn't want to go through that again.  Everyone was just starting to heal after the lodge, this would set them back to a whole new reason to heal.

He continued to walk around the forest looking for Kawaii~Chan.  He traveled slowly in hopes that he wouldn't miss a single thing.  Not a single clue.  A few times he would notice some pink and black fur, so he assumed he was going in the right direction but couldn't be a hundred percent sure because he never found any foot prints or anything like that.

Really, he was just following fur, which could belong to anything that lived in the wood.  However his freckles were telling him the fur belonged to Kawaii~Chan, and you always listen to your freckles, even if you're ashamed of them.

After an additional ten minuted he thought he heard a cat meowing.  He decided to follow it judging on the fact that Nana was a meifwa.  

The meowing seemed to echo off of the trees as he followed the sound.  It almost sounded mysterious, as he walked through the tall grass.

For a brief moment he thought made a mistake, that Nana wasn't the one making the noise and he was about to come face to face with a huge beast.  

But he brushed that feeling aside because his freckles told him to keep going.

All of a sudden he heard a rustle in the bushes, and went to go check what it was.  What he found was a pink haired meifwa.

"Nana?" he spoke into the bush, or rather at the person in the bush.

"Zane-Kun?" he heard the meifwa speak back.

"Yes Nana, it's me!  Zane!  Come out of that bush, we need to get you back to Starlight.... wherever Starlight is."

"Kawaii~Chan can't, she's stuck".

Kawaii~Chan looked up and revealed a chain attached to her left ankle.  It shocked Zane at first, but overall he wasn't surprised.  More like annoyed, he's only been looking for weeks it's not like once she was finally found he could just take her.  Of course there was a chain!

"Oh gosh, okay Nana.  We'll get you out of their.  Just... ah... how long is it?"

"Kawaii~Chan woke up by that rock the other day, she walked all the way to this bush to get warmer but she can't go any further."  She pointed to a boulder that was about thirty feet away.  

Zane went over to the rock to see if he could de-attach the chain.  He followed the chain down to where it started, and not only did he see a big bolt keeping the chain to the stone, but he also saw a broken potion bottle.  He was no potion expert, but he's seen enough of them to know that is was a forever potion.  

It's sad, isn't it.  That he's become so familiar with them that he just recognizes them?

Then he thought back to what Ash said to him earlier, "How should I know?  She splashed you and ran off!"

This must of been what she was talking about!  Did they force Nana to splash him somehow, or did this potion really once hold a potion that Nana was under?  Both were possible.  If they put Nana under an obedience forever potion, it was completely possible that they made her through one at Zane.

Nana saw what Zane was looking at and completely panicked to say the least.  Despite the sharp metal scraping against her heal, she ran over to him and took the broken glass from his hands and through it on the ground.

"Zane~Kun!  Don't touch that!"  She then started tearing, "Nana, I mean Kawaii~Chan, whatever!  She is super sorry that she did that to you.  She had no idea what she was doing and still doesn't completely remember what exactly Kawaii~Chan did!  She just knows that she did something really bad and she's super sorry!"

"Who told you you did something bad?"

"Ash did!  She used her magic hand bubble thing to show Kawaii~Chan what she did, and she's super sorry!  She doesn't even remember what was in the bottle!"

"Did Ash tell you you put a potion on me?  Nana it's fine!  My eyes aren't even green, look!"

He used his thumb and pointer finger to stretch his eyelids farther than they were intended to go, and showed Kawaii~Chan his irises.  He felt like he needed to comfort her but wasn't sure.  I mean, how do you comfort a girl who thinks she basically killed her boyfriend and stripped him of all his free will?  That kind of news is hard to take.  

Kawaii~Chan started to laugh at Zane's ridiculous face he was making, which seemed to lighten the mood.  She actually seemed pretty happy considering she was chained up.  He still needed to find out why she was chained and Katelyn wasn't.  

Kawaii~Chan's face became solemn and she lowered her head.  "Nana still hurt Zane~Kun with something, and she doesn't even know what it was.  She doesn't know how to help him."

Zane lowered his torso and used his pointer finger to lift up her chin, and smiled sweetly at her.  He even took off his mask.  "I'm fine Nana.  Nothing's wrong, I'm perfectly fine."

She smiled back, and started to walk toward him.  Only she forgot she was chained, and winced as the metal dug into her fair skin.  Unwilling to let this moment go to waist, Zane walked closer toward her.  He grabbed her by the shoulders, and they leaned in to one another, and kissed.

Yup, that's right.  Even though Kawaii~Chan was chained, they kissed.  Zane even had his mask off, making it even more romantic than anyone would of thought.

Then they were still kissing...

Still kissing...

You know what...

Still...

This kiss is taking a while...

Then Zane remembered Kawaii~Chan was still chained so he backed away and went down to examine her ankle and see if they could get it off that way.  It looked extremely tight, and continued to dig into her skin.  It didn't look like that was an option.

Then he went over to the rock and tried to rip it out of the wall, but his little nugget arms weren't getting done what needed to be done.  He tugged with all that he had, and it ripped it right out of the rock. 

He fell back into Kawaii~Chan, and they both sell to the ground with the chain in Zane's hands.  Now they just needed to get the ankle thingy off.

"Maybe Kawaii~Chan can chew it off with her fangs?" Nana offered.

"Nana, it's metal.  I don't think that's gonna work."

Zane got down on his knees and gripped at it with both his hands.  He yanked with all his might and they came right off.  

Geeze, this was like werewolf strength here.

"Zane~Kun, how did you do that?"

"I don't know?  Maybe it was just adrenaline, like how some moms were able to lift up a car in order to save their kid?  Something like that?"

"Maybe"

"It doesn't really matter.  Now we need to worry about getting back to the others.  What can you remember after you disappeared Nana?"
