"Change my name, shave my head. Tell my friends that I'm dead. Run away from the pain, yesterday is not today. Yesterday is not today, yesterday is not today. Yesterday is not today.
Yesterday is not today is not the same."

GUSTAV

"Well, I'm gonna go take Wicca to the airport, he's gonna go visit his family for a couple weeks. I'll see you when I get back," I told my best friend and retreated back downstairs. It wouldn't take long to drive Wicca to the airport and hopefully, I can get back in time to discuss with Bex the more complex details of my plan. he's close with Evelyn, he'd know what she'd say, right?

Thankfully my place was close to just about everything and there was really no need to drive a couple hours anywhere because everything we needed was in a five-mile radius basically.

I said goodbye to Wicca and simply waved as he got out of the passenger side of my car and grabbed his suitcase out of the back seat. He shut both doors but then leaned in the passenger side window to say something to me.

"You gotta keep an eye out for who you keep around, Peep." His voice sounded serious and usually in any other circumstance I'd think he was joking but for some reason, this seemed gravely important.

"What do you mean?" I questioned.

"Just go home, be safe." And that's all he said before he turned around and made his way into the airport, dragging his suitcase behind him. In complete awe, I took my car out of park and started driving home. Why would he say such a thing? Where was this coming from? Why did he have to be so cryptic?

If he was really worried about me wouldn't he give me all the details of the situation?

A phone call came through my phone and I quickly grabbed my phone to answer it without checking the caller ID.

"Yo," I greeted the person on the other line.

"Aye, Peep," I recognize the voice to be an acquaintance of mine, Mackned.

"What's up, man?"

"It's snowing out this way, you down to hang?" He asked, hinting that he had just gotten some coke. I thought about it. Evie would probably be disappointed if she found out but I never promised I'd quit, and neither did she.

"Yeah sure, give me a little bit and I'll be there."

It didn't take me too long to pull up in his driveway. A few short minutes later, I had pulled the keys out of the ignition, took a deep breath and made my way up to his front door.
