Preference #9: "Bye bye."

Luke:

"Bye, bye. Ill see you later, daddy." Your five year old daughter, Sadie, said to Luke.

"And I'll see you later, sweet doll. You be good for Mommy, okay? I love you both so much." Luke voice cracked at the end, tears brimming in his eyes.

You brought your daughter and Luke in for a hug just as his flight was being called.

"Mate, Luke, uh it's time to go." Michael called from the plane door. Luke nodded and wiped his eyes, standing up.

"I love you guys." He gave you both kisses before walking off, leaving you and your daughter standing there, hot tears rolling down your cheeks.

Ashton:

"Well, when is daddy coming back?" Your son, Noah, asked you, looking at the plane as it took off from the airport.

"Not for quite a while, buddy. It's okay though. Say bye to him." You whispered in your sons ear.

"Bye, bye, Daddy. I'll see you soon enough." Noah yelled to the plane even though Ashton couldn't hear him.

"Yeah, bye bye, Ashton." You said.

Michael:

"So, you mean sissy isn't here anymore?" Your 8 year old son, Jackson, asked you and Michael.

"No, she isn't buddy. She's in a better place now." Michael said, running his fingers through Jackson's hair.

"When will she be back?" He asked.

"Sadly, buddy, she's never coming back." You said to him. A look of horror shot across his face.

"Never? If she's never coming back, when will I get to see her again?" He cried, tears falling from his hazel eyes.

"Not for a long, long, long time, Jackson." Michael whispered, bringing you both in for a group hug.

Calum:

"Is that where he's at?" Your seven year old daughter, Carter, asked you. You nodded your reponse, too sad to even talk to her.

Slowly, she approached the casket in which held her father.

"Hi, daddy." She whispered when she got there. "I miss you already. It's only been a week, but knowing you're never coming back is a lot to think about." She reached in the open casket and held his hand. "Don't have too much fun without me and mommy, okay? I love you."

Carter released his hand and walked back to you, burying her face in your black tshirt, sobbing.

You stood there, staring at him, knowing you'd never find anyone you loved more than you did Calum.
