Connor’s POV

We were sitting around Katie’s den or living room talking and laughing about or past adventures. Since some of the gang had left, we had accommodated ourselves more comfortable around the room. Suddenly I felt like I had to sneak a glance at Bells, so as the impulsive ADHD demigod that I am; that’s exactly what I did. She was sitting on the armchair that Calypso and Leo were seated with her legs up on a crisscross-apple-sauce way and was talking to Annabeth; I think she said something about moving in, but I didn’t really listen. Suddenly I noticed something.

The way her eyes crunch up when she laughs and she is shy and outgoing at the same time. The way her hair falls perfectly in that messy braid and fades out to blonde. I just realized; that she is mesmerizingly and utterly beautiful, with all her “imperfections”.

I felt someone sit next to me and managed to tear my eyes from Bells to look sideways and find my annoying twin with a smirk as big as Rome. (I know they are not really twins, but this is an AU of them.) “Checking out my newly found best friend, are you,” Travis said. “Not so much checking out as just admiring the view,” I replied sarcastically. Percy came over and sat down on the floor with us while Katie and Thalia, who were previously fighting with Percy over the last Capture The Flag moved over to where the girls were sitting. “What's the gossip guys, are you planning on pranking anyone soon?”

That question snapped me back to reality really quick. I glanced at Travis to see if he was thinking the same and managed to say through our ‘Telepathic Twin Super Power-Ish That Doesn’t Really Exist’ that we should tell them. “We are planning on putting the new ‘joker couple’ in their place,” said Travis. “Yeah! We are the only couple of jokers that should reign above the rest!” I chimed in. “In a totally not incest way,” Travis stated and Percy started cracking up.

“What… are… you… going to do?” He managed to wheeze in-between laughs. “And why would we tell you, Mr. I Want To Know Everything?” Travis said, raising an eyebrow. “Because, I could help.” “Ummm… NO!” Travis and I said at the same time. “WHY?!” Percy whined, using his baby seal eyes. “Oh, don’t use those eyes on us! They only work with your girlfriend and your mom, and sometimes Hazel.” He laughed and we were quite satisfied with our ability to withstand the baby seal eyes.

Travis and I were planning on putting Leo and Calypso in their place. Ever since he came back with Calypso they were the ‘joker couple’. Always pranking people and last summer they even had a prank war between themselves. Travis and I have always been the Prank Kings at camp and that is a title we’re very proud of, we were not going to give it up that easily.
