Chapter 11
Percy’s POV
It was two days later, a Friday after school and Annabeth, Bells, Travis and I we’re going to Bells’s house to help her move in with Annabeth. They had talked to Wise Girl’s parents and they agreed to let her stay in exchange of Annabeth hating them less. They were getting along better now, but she says she’ll never forget the way her stepmom treated her before.
We got to her apartment that was pretty close, but it was not on a street you would normally pass. She opened the door with her key and we walked in to find a not so typical apartment building. When you first walk in you can see a TV on the wall in which the door was on and a silver couch in front of it. It was pretty open and kind of big, for having just one bedroom.
Beside the couch was a tall post with a lamp on top and there was a kitchen to the right of the door with an island (a table connected to nothing) a stove, fridge, washing machine, sink, and many drawers. It came along with your everyday kitchen utensils. There were no walls in the entire apartment and it felt rather cold and functional, instead of cozy.
“So, this is my apartment,” Said Bells. “Come on, let’s get packing. We can sell the kitchen, room and house stuff, since I clearly won’t need them.” She walked toward the door at the end of the flat. Annabeth grabbed my hand and pulled me forward. I was feeling lazy and just wanted to lie down with Annabeth on my couch, watch Netflix and cuddle; but of course she promised Bells she would help her pack her stuff. I didn’t mind helping, of course, I just preferred to chil.
Bells led us to her room and Travis and her went to her closet and bathroom while we were picking up her room. She gave us some wooden boxes, one said “fragile”, and so on. We started packing in silence when Annabeth said, “ Ill go get the stuff on the kitchen,” and gave me a peck to the cheek. She started walking towards the door and I took the chance to see what she was wearing. It was so outstanding the way she always looked perfect, to me; at least. She wore a red skirt with white diagonal lines and a tucked in white strapless shirt, along gold owl necklace and strapped up gladiator sandals. She was so beautiful.
We finished packing a little later, since there were four of us and we were already on our way to Annabeth's. (For this story's purpose, Annabeth's family moved to NY). When we got there I rang the doorbell, while Annabeth, Bells and Travis were by the car; taking things out of the back. Since she didn’t have that much stuff and was selling most of her house, we had no problem fitting it all in my step-dad's car. Mr. Chase opened the door and greeted me warmly, “Hey, Percy.” “Hi, Mr. Chase.” We did one of those typical man-hugs and I went back to the car to help wise girl with the boxes. Mr. Chase knew me pretty well, since we spent quite a lot of time at Annabeth's or at my house and we had been dating for a while now.
He also knew about, well, what happened in Greece and that I was the only one that could calm Annabeth down sometimes. They were like family to me too, even if Annabeth didn’t get on with them very well. We each carried a box, me and Travis getting the heaviest and managed to get them all in by 4:15 pm. Annabeth and Bells were settling in upstairs while me and Travis were getting some drinks and were by the kitchen. Bobby and Mathew came up to us and we started playing with them. They had met the rest of the gang and looked up to us a lot, the older ones in specific. I put Bobby on my shoulders and ran up the stairs into Annabeth’s room. “PUT YOUR HANDS UP! YOU ARE CURRENTLY UNDER ATTACK!!”
