6. Explanation

Ariella Grace

I hug her in my arms. How can I explain everything to her.. She just 6 years old.. How can she understand with all the explanations. I released my embrace and facing her.

"Listen..." I wipe her tears.

"Don't mind about they said.. you have mommy, Alya, auntie Marie."

"Mom... Is it right? that I don't have a daddy?" I sighed looking at her blue eyes, which always remind me of him. She really looks like him.

"We talk about it when we get home, alright?" She nodded and I hold her hands. She still silent and looking outside while I drive us back to home.

What should I do now?? I parked my car and Anna already get out from car.

"Anna.. Mom already called auntie Marie to come here, Mommy will pick up Alya at hospital alright?" I said.

"Mom.. you said we talk about this after we get home?" She asked. Gosh! What should I do now?

I walk closer and kneel down in front of her. I caress her temple and her cheeks.

"Is it right? that I don't have a daddy?" She asked again.

"No.. you have it honey.." I shakes my head and smile sadly.

"But.. where is he now? Why I never meet him? Why he didn't live with us? I even never see his photograph? You also never tell me anything about him." She said.

I put my hand on her shoulders.

"Honey.. when the time is come, I promise I will tell you anything you want to know."

"Please Mommy.. tell me.. or they will always teasing me again the next day."

"Honey.. I can't.. I'm sorry.."

"Please mommy.. I just want to know it." Tears escape from her little eyes. I sighed and struggle to hold back my tears. I just can look at her. I lost my word, I don't know what should I said to her.

"So.. is it true... I don't have daddy." She crying and running upstairs. I heard she slam and closed the door.

I wiped my tears and catch up go upstairs to go to her room. What should I do now? I sighed and knocked her room. I heard she's crying inside. I can't help my self not to crying again. Mom... Adriana.. I hope that you'll be there with me..

"Anna... Open the door" I knocked.

"I'm sorry mommy.. but please leave me alone mom.." She's crying. I closed my mouth and struggle not to sobbing. I heading back to my room. With my trembling hands, I take one photograph from my drawer. There he is.. the one and only man in my life.. her daddy...

"What should I said to her?" tears go down on my cheeks.

"Ariella... What happen? The door is not yet closed, did you forgot to closed the door?" Marie, my best friend stand in front of my door. I came and hug her.

"Marie... You're right... She asked me about him.. I don't know how to said all of these.. " I start sobbing.

I feel Marie sighed and caress my back.

"She needs to know Arie.. I said to you before.." She said and I shakes my head.

"I know.. I know.. but she just 6 years old Marie.. What should I said? Should I said that even her daddy didn't know that he have a daughter? I never meet him, never ever tell him too that I'm pregnant.. I knew all of these when I already leave him."

"Just.. just tell her.. show her his photograph.. maybe she just want to know it Arie.."

I nodded. "I need to go to hospital to pick up Alya.. Please take care of her. She's in her room." I wipe my tears and left Marie.

Anna Grace

I crying on my bed. Why mommy don't want to tell me about my daddy? I just want to know it. Everyone have one daddy, they even tell me the story while they're with their daddy.

I heard someone knocked my room.

"Anna... This is me.. Aunty Marie.."

"Aunty.. I want to sleep now." I said barely sound.

"I want to tell you something.. about.... about your daddy?" I sit on my bed and open my door.

"You know my daddy?" I asked her.

"Yes.. I know him." I smile and wipe my tears.
