Chapter 18
Natasha's POV

"I've never seen her look so..." Loki began while Natasha continued to rub the damp cloth over the girls face.

"Peaceful?" She suggested, feeling Kat's forehead. She was surprised the find Kat's temperature was well below normal and pulled the blankets further up around her small body. She was careful not to move the staff from the tight grip it was held in as she knew it would never leave it voluntarily. She had shooed all the others out by force so she could take care of Kat but hadn't managed to move the two gods who refused to leave out of concern for the girl. Kat had passed out shortly after they had put her in the nearest bed and then continued to curse and mumble profanities in multiply languages, even some that were foreign to Natasha herself. Thor, Loki and her stood beside the bed helping remove her jacket and clean the remaining cuts and bruises though she had made them both leave when she had changed Kat into a simple tank top and sweat pants hoping she would be comfortable when she woke.

"Unguarded." He finished rubbing his chin in thought. Natasha stopped the cloth and turned to look at Loki and then back to Kat.

"I am surprised to say you're true. I haven't seen her look so calm and well, she looks like she feels safe." She replied.

"This meaning she doesn't feel safe often?" Thor asked sitting at the end of the bed making it tilt under his weight. Both Natasha and Loki nodded in agreement staring at the girl before them who stirred cussing in Russian before settling making Natasha laugh quietly.

"What did she just say?" Loki asked.

"She just was saying a very bad word in Russian, one of the languages here on earth." She laughed again watching as both men looked at each other slightly smirking as she translated. She slowly stood motioning to the others to follow her as she exited the room closing the door quietly. Walking down the hallway she made her way to the lounge where the others, Fury an a few agents were sitting talking.

"How is she?" Tony asked immediately standing and silencing the others.

"Do not worry my friends, Lady Kat is well. We do not need to fear as she is stronger than she seems." Thor reassured slapping hard on Tony's shoulder before sitting down next to where Loki was already seated. Natasha made her way to Clint's side sitting beside him and watched as all the people in the room relaxed slightly.

"She is way stronger than she seems." Tony agreed sitting back down and rubbing his shoulder. "She wasn't holding back was she?"

"I have a feeling she was." Loki muttered causing all heads to swivel and wait for him to continue. "I mean, she most likely was holding back because she wasn't killing, just trapping those men in her ice. I think that if she was to fight with the intent to kill, well, I wouldn't bet on the opposing side." He finished and Natasha agreed silently turning to Clint who she could tell felt the same as her.

"How powerful do you think she is then?" Bruce asked quietly cleaning his glasses on his shirt.

"The Asgardian Legends says she a powerful being but never mentions her abilities limit." Thor announces glancing at Loki for confirmation who nods silently. This earning a grin from his brother, who was more than pleased to have it right and more interaction with his brother who rolled his eyes.

"I don't think we will ever know how powerful she is and I guess we will just have to live with that in mind." Clint stated rubbing his eyes and yawning. Natasha glanced at Fury who stayed silent during the entire conversation rubbing his head in thought.

"I guess we will." She yawned enjoying silence between the group until Steve broke it.

"We will need to transport her somewhere safer, for both her and for this city. Who knows who or what the General will send next." Steve imagined fidgeting with his hands.
