Heads up. I made up mainly everything about the place they are going. This is for this point onwards. Apart from the name of the island, (it is a real place) everything on it is me making up stuff. Some stuff is actual facts but not much and I have no idea if some of the stuff I make up is true either and I don't mean to offend anyone (I am seriously not meaning to) and I am so sorry if I do so! I'm not intentionally writing anything that would offend but sometimes things can be taken the wrong way and again sorry if I offend I am not meaning to. Yeh anyway, enjoy! I repeated myself 3 times just in different words.

Chapter 22
Kats POV

"Martinique?" They all asked doubtfully.

"Yeah, I have a house there. And yes, before you ask, it's registered under a different name." Kat groaned having already listed several places. She didn't really want them to know of all her safe houses but she agreed that they needed a super safe house in which she had plenty.

"Where is Martinique?" Thor asked thoroughly confused. Kat laughed at his naivety and wondered how he was a protector of this realm with no clue what was in it. He had had no idea where anywhere was and Kat thought he should at least learn some of the geography of Earth, or at least know which area America was in. At the moment and for the last hour all the Avengers, Loki and Kat were sitting in a small make shift circle they had made with a combination of chairs, couches and pillows spread across the floor and brainstorming ideas.

"It's in the Caribbean islands which are south from Cuba and just north-east of Venezuela." Natasha replied pointing to the map in the middle and frowning as she watched Kat sink further into the sea of pillows surrounding her. She laid her staff within reaching distance and struggled to save herself for sinking. She liked this feeling she had; she couldn't really describe it but all she knew was she felt at ease. The pillows made her feel secure and the people she was with made her feel like she should be protecting and annoying at the same time which made her happy. Heck, she had just let her staff out her hands and wasn't feeling the need to punch someone for the separation. Kat felt herself slipping too far and hitting solid ground having to re-adjust her pillow-thing. The huge pillows she had almost covered her as well as protected her from lying on the hard floor and it felt good to hid under them. She felt protected in a weird, messed up way.

"Why there?" Bruce asked leaning forward and resting a hand under his chin.

"Have you ever tried rum from the Caribbean?" She laughed while they groaned again. Mainly because most of the places she had suggested were famous for some sort of alcoholic beverage. "It's great! I can assure you it's the best drink to get drunk to and it is strong. So even if you think you can hold your liquor, well, let me tell you, you can't. Anyway to get to the island you have to go by boat plus it very safe I wouldn't go there unless it was. And my place and the people are awesome." She finished daring someone to argue against her.

"How do you know that the General doesn't know you live there already?" Clint asked sitting on the chair beside her while Kat groaned inwardly.

"How do we know that from any of the places I've suggested." She argued back.

"I have a friend that I need to speak to as well. I assure you it's our best bet and if you really aren't happy there we can go up north to my place in Alaska, which I might add is completely isolated and technically doesn't exist according to any and every record." Kat argued.

"We will have to run this through with Fury." Steve reminded them making her groan. Why did they have to have his permission anyway, they weren't kids....forget that was said.

"Ask him now and if he says no, we ignore him and go anyway. I need to talk to this friend." Kat grumbled climbing out of the heap of pillows which was harder then she would have thought. She gave a quick glance at her staff laying neatly beside Clint's chair and shrugged. If she was willing to let it out of her hands around these people she could manage leaving it a little longer. When she managed to stand she made her way to the kitchen and hopped on the bench to peer in the cupboards because she was too short to see in while standing. She pushed a few various foods around until she found a lone box of Twinkies and pop tarts hiding at the back.
