A/N: Part one of two coming at you today :)
It's also six hundred and sixty six words so that's maybe foreshadowing...

Kirstie unlocks the front door and pushes it open, leading Avi inside to her two over-energetic fur-babies. She immediately falls to the ground with them, cuddling them and letting them lick and jump all over her, Avi has to smile. Pascal escapes Kirstie and jumps up at Avi, his paws on Avi's stomach for a moment before the orange and white husky drops back to all fours.
"Is he doing that because he remembers me or because he doesn't? I mean I've met this one all of two times," he bends down to pat Pascal as the dog continues to sniff at him.
"He might remember you, a dog's sense of smell is their strongest sense," she shrugs as she sits up, her hair messed up and her glasses askew.
Pascal leaves Avi to go back to Kirstie, but she has to swat the two of them away for a moment so she can speak to Avi. "So this place is only one bedroom, but you don't mind sleeping on the pull-out do you?" she asks.
"No, not at all," he smiles.
"Good, because the only other option would be getting you a hotel room and I don't think that'd be a good idea because I don't want you by yourself," she tells him surely. "Well, or we could share cause we're grown-ups and all but I am still a woman so..." she shrugs as she trails off.
Avi laughs, "Yeah I'm fine with the couch, but for the record I don't really see you like that, you're Kirstie."
She'd been laughing with him but her face falls when he says that. "What's that supposed to mean?"
Avi frowns, he wasn't sure exactly what this mood-swing was about, was that not the right thing to say?
"Am I not attractive enough for you?"
His eyes widen, because she'd definitely taken it the wrong way.
"You'd sleep with a million other women but you wouldn't want to have sex with me!" She shouts.
Avi starts speaking louder than her and louder again and again to get her to stop, "No, no, no, no, NO!"
She only stops because she knows he can go louder than her, and if they kept going they'd get complaints from the neighbours. But what could he possibly mean by no? She was being clear as day, he wasn't interested in her. "Don't you 'no' me," she snaps at him.
"Then get it right," he speaks angrily.
She scoffs, mocking him in her 'Avi voice,' "Get it right."
"What is wrong with you?" He asks angry that this whole thing seemed to come from nothing, she is putting words in his mouth that are only there because of what she said to him four years ago. "How can you possibly think that? Not even how can you, but how dare you!"
She straightens up in shock, shaking her head, "What the fuck Avi? Throwing this back at me!"
"Watch out, I'm about to throw it further."
Her eyes narrow, the dogs have already fled the room, "Go on then, throw it asshole."
"I will you goddamn bitch," he snaps. "You told me, not once: but twice, that you weren't attracted to me, that you didn't like me like that, all in all that I was not the kind of guy you were into. And always in interviews you say these guys, meaning all four of us, not Matt," he almost sneers that last word, "That we were like brothers to you. So don't you dare get mad at me for just saying that I don't see you like that when that's not even true! It's just what I have to say!" His hand shoots up to his mouth, covering it, how could he have just said that? Kirstie's jaw has dropped and she has no response but to run off into her room, shutting her and her fur babies in and Avi out.
