Avi's situation starts to bother Kirstie more and more. She finds herself unable to stop thinking about it and him, all because of two little words, "thank you." The more she thinks about the words and re-reads them it crosses her mind that they could be sarcastic but then that only makes her worry more. She is pretty sure the words are genuine; she hopes they are because that means Avi is still in there, the real Avi.
She has to see him; she knows she has to, no matter what mental state he is in. Even though she knows she won't like what she sees.
She's acted like they weren't friends for a while now, all because of the life he'd started to lead. Sometimes you have to let friends go because they're not healthy for you. Kirstie has just never thought about how the other person losing a friend would cope. She hadn't cared because Jeremy highly supported this idea, and she loved making Jeremy happy. But now Jeremy doesn't matter. So what is she invited Will on the trip to Cabo, Will is basically one of the girls and she hardly ever gets to see him. Jeremy is just a giant child throwing a tantrum and Kirstie doesn't need that in her life. That's why they were no longer together, but she hadn't needed to broadcast it so she didn't, and she didn't make nearly as many snide comments as him. Her only regret was having to return that beautiful dress she'd spent months looking for. The money lost in bookings meant nothing to her, it was just the dress she cared about, but she couldn't have kept it, that would have been wrong. The same went for her engagement ring, but she'd been happy to throw that back in his face after the argument they'd had.
But she doesn't like to think about this, it is still pretty raw even though she acts like she is totally okay. And at least she is no longer the main focus of the Pentatonix fandom that is Avi, even though he's no longer in the group.
Kirstie wants to visit him, to see him, to check on him, or more likely check-up on him. The problem is that she has no idea where he could be. He hasn't lived with Kevin for a while now, and since he moved from there she's never bothered to get his address. But as far as she knew he'd gotten an apartment, though she really has no idea since he left the band. What she did know is that if there is any truth to him living at Trisha's she is going to smack him across the back of the head, hard.
They'd met Trisha enough times because of Mitch that Avi should have known exactly what kind of person she is, truth or not she's going to make a video and she's going to make it sting. Avi is smarter than that, she's 90 percent sure of it, the other 10 percent wonders how stupid he gets when he's high.
A/N: Short and sweet ;)
