A/N: Not long to go now :o
Kirstie is wiping off tears and make-up as she cleans off after her last Kinky Boots show. She's had an amazing time doing this show, surrounded by amazing people. It's sad it has to end, she reckons she could do this forever, after all this was what had always been her dream.
She's also sad that neither Mitch nor Avi came to the show. To her it's worse that Avi didn't since he is living with her and they're kind of a thing now, but the disappointment of her oldest friend not showing up cut her pretty deep. Kevin came the other week, and he was so proud of her that it made Kirstie cry.
There's a knock on her dressing room door and she inwardly groans, she'd told her cast mates that she needed a few minutes on her own.
"You better open up Queen!" Mitch knocks as he speaks.
"Oh my god," Kirstie cry-laughs, running to the door. "Mitch!" But before she can hug him Avi swings around the doorframe with a bouquet of flowers. She feels the happy tears again, "You guys both came!"
"Aw no honey, don't cry," Mitch pulls her in for the kind of hug only Mitch Grassi can give.
"You guys make me too happy," she cries. "Thank you so much for coming," she pulls Avi into the hug too, she knew he was trying to be less obvious with Mitch there, he would have kissed her otherwise.
"Don't squish your flowers," Avi chuckles and kisses the top of her head, thinking Mitch didn't see. He does and he chooses to keep quiet for now.Kirstie invites Avi and Mitch to go out wither and a few cast mates, she wants to go to karaoke and since it's her last night they do.
She's been to this bar a couple of times since she's been in New York and she loves it, so why not? She didn't have time to do much else with her hair other than take the pin-curls out, so she pulls on her 'LOVE' cap backwards. Kirstie slings an arm around Mitch's shoulders and one around Avi's, it's perfect because they're practically the same height. She turns to Avi, big grin in place, "We match," she taps his snapback.
"It suits you better," he smiles.
"I brought my white wig too, just in case my curls looked weird."
"Nah, I like your dark hair better, it's gorgeous and your curls look great," the smile doesn't let up.
Mitch grabs Kirstie's hand and stops effectively stopping the three of them just in the doorway of the karaoke bar. The rest of the group continue on.
"Ow, Mitch, what?" Kirstie complains.
"So how long has this been a thing," he gestures between Kirstie and Avi.
Avi's eyes widen and Kirstie immediately starts shaking her head.
"I'm not stupid, and Scott told me everything. And it's entirely plausible based on the google eyes Avi used to give you back in the day, not to mention the not so subtle things tonight," he smirks.
"Pfft, I don't know what you're talking about," Avi scoffs.
"Pfft," Mitch mimics him, "You literally just called her hair gorgeous."
"Means nothing, your hair is gorgeous too," Avi rushes.
Mitch raised a bored eyebrow, "This is true, but stop. If you two are together it's cute and I'm happy for you."
"Really?" Kirstie asks.
Mitch's smirk grows, "And with that admission Scott owes me 50 bucks."
"You two were betting on us getting together?" Kirstie laughs.
Mitch cackles as he sashay's off into the club.
"That's so Mitch," Avi chuckles and leans in to press a kiss to Kirstie's forehead. But she pulls him back in for a full on lip-lock.
Pulling away she says, "I did some googling that we need to talk about tonight."
Avi frowns, "Should I be worried?"
She smirks, "Quite the opposite. Now let's go sing!"
"Shania Twain?"
"You know it babe!"
A/N: What do you guys think Kirstie was googling about?
