I believe in you
– Kirst 😘

Avi looks up from his phone at the scene in front of him. Brad's place, smoke in the air, Brad in the corner with a half-naked girl in his lap, more half naked girls dancing and drinking and dancing, there were guys on the other couch watching the girls dance... creepy. Two of the girls have made passes at him, he almost fell for one until he realises why: she looks like Kirstie except not at pretty, no cute side-smirk and half the brains. She kissed him and thankfully he got the text message so that was an excuse to make her go away. Because he's pretty sure he wants her to go away right?
He can't think straight, stupid Brad gave him stupid pot brownies without stupid telling him with they stupid were. And since then Avi's been trying his best to be a grump, but that's really hard when you're high and two girls keep throwing themselves at you.
As soon as Avi puts his phone away the girl is back, how bad is it that he doesn't even know her name? She certainly knows who he is, she keeps moaning his name into the kiss, which is stupid because he's not even trying. Avi just wants to go home, not home as in his parent's house, but home as in where Kirstie is. He wants to get back to whatever it is they have, 50%, 49%, 100% and all of that, he even misses Olaf and Pascal and wonders if they miss him. He also realises that this girl is kissing just like they do, that's disgusting. But he doesn't stop her until her hand comes to a rest on his crotch.
     "Why aren't you hard?"
"Because you're not nearly as attractive as Kirstie."
     She slaps him, "Asshole!"
"She slaps better too," he laughs, pushing the girl off of him. "I'm gonna get going," he announces to the room.
Brad briefly looks away from his girl, "Man what are you on? You're staying here; you legit have nowhere else to go!"
"Well thanks to you I'm on weed," Avi says bitterly. "And I'm going home. I'm sorry Brad, you were a good friend, an old friend, but you're not a healthy friend for me to have."
"What the hell does that mean?" He frowns, standing up with a hard on clear as day.
"That we're not going to be friends anymore, at least not until I'm 100 percent better and you start trying."
"What kind of hippy-dippy shit is this? Good one," Brad laughs.
"No Brad, no joke, and if you think it is then we may never be friends again," Avi shrugs. "Goodbye Brad," Avi holds out his hand for a handshake.
Brad doesn't take it, "You batshit man, what? You haven't gotten laid up in New York or something? There are girls literally waiting, lining up to have sex with you, jump on it dude!"
Avi shakes his head, "No thank you. That's just not me anymore. This is why I'm de-friending you Brad."
"Is this about all the shit that that Trisha chick laid out cause you're not a sex addict just cause you like it."
Avi sighs, "No Brad, I'm not a sex addict, not anymore. I'm a recovering sex addict."
     And he turns and leaves.

Avi walks up the steps to a place he's been only a couple of times since he knew the owner, it really isn't good enough. He knocks on the door and waits, there are lights on so he knows he's home. Seconds later the door opens and Avi is greeted by Kevin's beaming grin.
"Hey man what's up," he pulls Avi into a half hug. "Oh, happy birthday for yesterday since it's two in the morning now," he chuckles.
"Thank you," he smiles in return.
"Sorry I didn't message you, been pretty busy. Um... what are ya," he scratches the back of his neck, nerves. "What are you doing here?" He says it in such a way: friendly but unsure of what his friend wants because he must want something to be here at this time, and hesitation.
"Don't even worry about it. And... I kinda need a place to stay tonight."
     Kevin's smile falters.
"It's just tonight, I have a flight tomorrow. I can't go back to my parents and get their hopes up then just leave tomorrow, actually this afternoon."
"And there's no one else?" Kevin is sceptical.
     "No one else I trust."
"I guess so, but I have a no smoking rule here."
"I don't do that anymore Kev."
"Then why do you smell like it?"
"It's not mine, but can we go inside, it's cold out and I have a lot of explaining to do. I trust you so I want to tell you absolutely everything."
     "And what does everything entail?"
"The party I was just at where I defriended Brad, I don't smoke weed anymore, the pot-brownie was an accident by the way and I go to weekly sex-addict meetings since I got out of rehab and I live with Kirstie and I 100% feel that way about her now."
"I'm not surprised, about the you know: liking Kirstie part, I could have told you that years ago. But the rest of it, you're right; you have a lot of explaining to do."

A/N: Sooo, was that what you were expecting? Did Avi disappoint you or exceed your expectations? Or was it something in the middle?

Hannah :)
