A/N: Yay for 1000 word chapters :D

It's been an intense argument about who got to shower first, and Kirstie of course won. On any given day Avi would have just let her go first, but today is different. He does not want to be sitting across from Jeremy like he is now. It's pretty shit, he and Kirstie's ex have never gotten along, that is not about to change today.
Avi has gotten semi-dressed, a t-shirt and boxers, because there's no point in getting completely dressed when he's going to bolt to the shower the second that door opens. He'd bowl Kirstie over if he has to, no regrets.
It stays mostly silent, neither of these men have anything to say to one another, there is only the occasional sigh of awkwardness. But Jeremy does not take his eyes off of Avi, he doesn't want to let that sorry excuse of a person out of his sight, who knows how many times he's already perved on Kirstie (if he's staying here, which Jeremy seriously hopes is not the case). Jeremy has always thought that Avi is a pretty shit guy, and as it turns out he is right, Trisha Payta's exposed the real him, the one that Jeremy suspected all along. He lets a smug smile sit as he stares him down, the pot-head can't even look at him. He looks like a drowned dog, a pathetic drowned dog and just a pathetic human in general. Jeremy revelled in the fact that he was right, he almost felt that he could rub it in Kirstie's face, but he won't because that won't win her back. They broke up for no reason at all, it is time they reconcile and then go ahead with the wedding when she gets back to California. Jeremy has it all planned out. But he still needs to know why Avi is here at all, he doesn't like being out of the loop. And he especially wants to know when Avi is leaving so that he doesn't ever have to see his ugly mug again. He thought Kirstie was done with him, at least she was when her and Jeremy broke up, so this is very confusing, especially with the truth coming out, now everyone understands why Kirstie did what she did and stop blaming Jeremy for it. It was never his fault, but everyone blamed him, sure he may have suggested Kirstie distance herself from Avi personally but he never made her do anything. He likes to have things his way but he never made Kirstie do anything she didn't want to do, fact.
Jeremy almost jumps in fright when the bathroom door opens and Avi bolts off, guess he didn't want to be face to face with Jeremy any more than Jeremy did him.
Jeremy smiles up at Kirstie as she walks past him into the kitchen. It will be even easier to talk to her without someone else in the room, she won't feel like she has to be strong for show, she'll be herself.
She walks back into the room with two glasses of water and a stern look stuck fast. "So I'm just going to cut to the chase," she sits down across from him, "What are you doing here Jeremy?"
"Kirstie, you're on Broadway! I know how much that means to you, it's something you've always wanted to do. And just because we're not together anymore doesn't mean I don't care," he smiles warmly at her.
She replies with a smile, her cheeks heating up as she looks down, "Thank you."
"You don't need to thank me Kirstie," he shrugs, "I wanted to be here for you." He makes sure he can hear the shower running before he continues speaking, "I also came to talk about where we're at, I mean we always said we would so, I guess now is as good a time as any."
"Where are you staying tonig- holy crap that was the world's quickest shower!"
"Please don't change the subject," Jeremy sighs, then has to resist every urge to glare at the intruder.
"It's hard to stay in there long when someone's used all the hot water," Avi half laughs.
Kirstie smiles, relieved, she doesn't want to have that conversation with Jeremy yet, she's not ready. She's never been happier to see Avi, "You can have first shower tomorrow," she assures him.
     "Thank you," he nods.
"You were about to ask me something," Jeremy prompts, casually standing up to block Kirstie's view of Avi.
"Yeah I was going to ask you where you were staying tonight?" She looks up at him, she knows what he's doing, taking all her attention, he's like a two-year-old, must have all eyes on me!
"Ahh, well this was kind of a last minute trip, spur of the moment you know? I didn't have time to book anywhere so I was thinking maybe I could stay here. I mean I could go out and look for something now but I don't know the area, it'd cost a fortune and it's dark now. It'd just be easier to stay here at this point," he tsks.
"So you're just inviting yourself to stay at someone else's house?" Avi scoffs.
"And might I ask what you're doing here?" He snaps, "It's Kirstie's house, let her speak."
"You don't just invite yourself to stay at someone else's house," Kirstie says, confirming Avi's question. "Avi is here on my invitation."
"Wait, he's actually staying here?" Jeremy asks, his eyes wide with shock. "What the fuck?" He laughs in horror. "Wow, I literally do not understand."
"It's not for you to understand," Kirstie tells him. "If you insist on staying here you can sleep on the floor, Avi's got the couch."
"I thought I'd be sharing you," Jeremy speaks slyly.
Kirstie's face heats up, but she's not embarrassed, she's angry, how could he assume that? "If you're staying here you'll sleep on the floor!" She hisses.
"Come on Kirst, you know my back plays up," Jeremy complains.
"I don't mind sleeping on the floor Kirst," Avi sighs to avoid this turning into a big thing.
She's not going to kick Jeremy out, no she's going to do something that'll piss him off more. "Well aren't you the sweetest," she says to Avi. "But since you offered to do that I think Jeremy can have the lumpy couch bed and you, Avi can share with me."
     "What?" Both men speak simultaneously.
"My house, my rules," Kirstie speaks, touching her chest, casting another glare at Jeremy. She reaches out to grab Avi's hand and pull him into her bedroom. He resists but eventually lets her pull him in.
It is only eight 'o' clock pm, but Kirstie has already had about as much Jeremy as she can bare for one day.

A/N: Would you have kicked Jeremy out or done what Kirstie did? And what do you think will happen next?

Hannah :)
