Okay here we go again another chapter hope you enjoy this one😁.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Right now I am at the Airport with my Mom and being escorted by my BFF Camilla Jacquels.
"Bye Erin, I would miss you so much. So when are you guys coming back?" Camilla asked.
"We should be coming back after Summer that should be one month from now" I answered her question.
"Oh that is nice pls don't forget to get me something. And I would like to get... What is it called again... yes an 'Ankara' /an-ka-rah/. I heard it is a really nice fabric with different patterns on it." Camilla said smiling.
"Oh yeah sure."They announced our flight and we said our goodbyes to Camilla and boarded the plane.
During the flight My Mom was teaching me different things from the nigerian culture so I took a jotter and pen and started to write down some things.
- Females kneel down to greet their elders. (That I don't understand why not do a small bow or even just say Hi, but my Mom said that was rude.)
- Young ones don't collect something from elders with their left hand (It is also rude).
- And always say your full name. Erin doesn't mean anything in Yoruba /yo-roo-bah/ language.
Then for the rest of the flight she taught me how to pronounce my name correctly. /o-loo-wah-kpa-mi-le-rin-a-yo/.
And some simple Yoruba words like:
Ekaaro /e-ka-a-ro/ - good morning.
Ekasaan /e-ka-a-so-n/ - good afternoon.
Ekaale /e-ka-a-le/ - good evening.
Odaaro /o-da-a-ro/ - good night.
Joko /jo-ko/ - sit down.
Dide /di-de/ - stand up.
Jeun /je-oon/ - Eat.But it took a lot of getting used to since I had an accent.
I finally slept on the plane cause I was so tired.
"Wake up Erin" My Mom said tapping me.
"Leave me alone" I said turning towards the other side.
"Well you can't sleep on the plane for a whole day. We are in Nigeria!!!!!".>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
And there goes another chapter sorry this one is short but there is not much to write about. But guess what her journey starts from here. So you get to experience Nigeria while reading.
