Erin is a Normal girl who lived all her life in America not knowing she is actually from Nigeria.
She looks at her passport for the first time and notices that it is green and when she opens it for the first time only to realise that her full name...
"Where have you girls been?" Uncle Akin asked us angrily holding his Cain like it was an attachment of his arm.
Ire was about to open her mouth but I knew she would say something stupid and get us into trouble so I interfered. "Oh sorry that we were late sir it's just that this village is so marvellous. We were at Tope's house and that marvellous girl kept us waiting for long, after we walked down to the river bank where we watched the sun set and it was so beautiful" I said leaving Uncle Akin and Ire surprised. "Well thank you Ire for that wonderful tour but right now I'm so tired so I'm going to take a nap bye" I said and rushed upstairs. Wow I didn't know when I became so fluent at speaking the language called lies at least it was worth it.
I went to sleep early cause Aunty Tireni said we had a long day tomorrow and I'm finally going to meet my grandparent and the rest of the family. Yippee!!!.
The next day
Normally I get woken by my Mum but not today. I could barely sleep because of excitement.
I showered and wore blue denim jeans with a light yellow top and my snickers and ran downstairs quickly for breakfast. Like all other Mornings Aunty Tireni made yet another one of the local foods (how many local foods do we have in Nigeria?? the world would never know...) She made Akara and pap

Akara (I thought they were chicken nuggets until my Aunt corrected me).
"So are we ready to go to grandma's place?" My Aunt asked "Yeah, but please tell me we are not using a danfo bus" I said and that made everybody laugh. "No. My husband has a pickup truck and that is what we are using" Aunty Tireni replied. "Is it only Mama and Papa that are going to be there?" My Mom asked nervously. "No the whole family is going to be there. We sent a message to grandma saying that you are around and she said the whole family would be there waiting for you" Aunty Tireni replied to Mom's question and after that everybody ate in silence.
We finished eating, cleaned up and made our way to Uncle Akin' s pick up truck that looked like it was going to fall apart any moment from now. I sat at the back between Ire and my Mom(I so much hate being in the middle) while Aunty Tireni and Uncle Akin sat down in front.
We drove for about 20 minutes before we came to a stop and I have to say I didn't know a village could be that big. We stopped infront of a small bungalow that was painted yellow and looked as renovated as Ire's house well from the outside though. We all walked to the doorstep and Uncle Akin did all of the knocking. After what took like forever the door slightly opened...
