I'm here again, yah MOI and I'm here with another chapter.
Love y'all

I continued to enjoy this precious moments I had with my family but something was missing and it was not long before we all noticed.
"WHERE IS ALL THAT NOISE COMING FROM?" An old grumpy voice called from one room and in the next moment the owner of that voice came out. And when he came out of his room the way he was standing, he was facing us directly.
"And who are these people?" He said pointing at me and my Mom.
My Mom nudged me with her elbow and told me with her eyes that we are supposed to be respectful and immediately I got it.

We (Mom and I) stood up and went to kneel down infront of Grandpa to greet him (the respectful way). We introduced ourselves and I saw a tear slide down his cheek. He told us to stand up and hugged us (not like death grip but the right pressure).
And then I noticed a tear also slipped down my Mom's eye. Wow this is getting pretty emotional.

"Wow you were gone for 15 good years, why didnt you come back?" Grandpa Olakanmi asked my Mom.
She had a guilty expression on her face before she replied,
"Well I was very angry with the family because you had no right to sell me to that old man" Mom said raising her voice gradually.
"How can you say that after you have been betrothed to the man for 10 years" Grandpa said almost shouting.
If this keeps on going it wouldn't be nice but to think of it our first real fight as a family something to celebrate right?.
"No but you didn't allow me to choose" My Mom said her voice higher.
"Oh so that you would marry that poor man Haruna right?" Grandpa said turning the conversation into an argument.
"Even though I would have been happy and maybe I wouldn't have ran away!!" Mom said raising her voice even more. The greatest reunion ever.
"Well that was your decision and not our fault!" Grandpa said literally shouting now.
"Yes it was your fault if you want to know, I didn't want my parents to dictate everything that would take place in my life!" Mom said shouting at her Dad. And the most outrageous thing happened he actually went to her and slapped her hard Mom ended up on the floor crying.
"MOM!!" I shouted and  went to meet her.
"What did you do!!! You didn't have to slap her!!! We came to Nigeria to reconcile with our family and the first thing you did to her after 15 years was to slap her!!! I regret ever meeting you!" I shouted and I didn't miss the tears rolling down his eyes.
"Let's go Mom we've met everyone" I said and helped Mom off the floor and we made our way out.
Uncle Akin and Aunty Tireni drove us back to the house in silence the only thing we could hear was Mom's silent sobs. We got home and everyone went to their rooms without a word no one eating anything.

I went upstairs behind my Mom and the moment I locked the door she jumped on the bed she started crying. All the tears that she has been keeping in the car she just let everything out like rain that has been threatening to fall for so long and all I could do was hug her and  comfort her.
After her outburst of tears stopped I just had to ask.
"Mom please who is Haruna?" I said and it was obvious that that question took her off guard.
