~Arabella's Point of view~
"Blue or purple flowers?" I ask Sofia and look at my new color pencils.
It is my tenth birthday and as the Alpha's daughter I get a LOT of presents. Or maybe people just think I'm really nice and my papa has nothing to do with it.
Me and my best friend Sofia are currently playing with all the new toys I got in my rooms. Mama said that we could play before we are going to cut the cake. I wanted to do it right away -because I love cake- but mama said that we had to wait until everyone arrived.
"I'm going with purple," I say before Sofia answers because I just love purple.
After ten minutes of playing the doorbell rings.
"Cake time?" Sofia asks with a big smile.
"Maybe we should wait until my mama calls us" I reply and go back to what I was doing. Which is drawing, I love drawing but that's not important now.
Out of nowhere chilling scream echoes through the whole pack house. The glass window in my room shakes.
Not short after the first, more follow. They're coming from all around and in the house. Without thinking twice Sofia and I run out of my room.
It's a long run through the big pack house. In a normal pack only the Alpha, Beta and Gamma families live in the pack house but our pack house has a lot more residents. That's why our pack house is this big.
As werewolves we live in pack, just like normal wolves. We are a small pack of only around seventy members with my father as leader, the alpha. All of us live together spread over four group houses with the pack house as the biggest.
Sofia and I run through all the short cuts and reach the first floor sooner then I imagined. But what we see is real horror.
I hate horror.
There are men everywhere, not only from our pack but also men I have never seen before. Everyone is fighting and killing each other.
The sickening smell of blood enters my nose and more screams make my ears ring.
There's so much violence but one thing in particular that catches my eye. One guy stands by my family and he is yelling at them.
I can't hear what he's saying but the scared expressions on my mother and sister faces show that he's not being very nice. Another man grabs my sisters arm and pulls her up from the ground.
Wendy snaps her head towards the man and hisses, her bright eyes filled with fear. She bites down in the mans arm in an attempt to get out of the situation.
