The sun shone brightly on my face and I could feel it's warmth against my skin. It was the first moment of sunshine I had experienced. It felt amazing. Words could barely express what I felt. If I had felt anything at all that is.

My eyes squinted at the sun as my mother carried me through the hospital doors. I was wrapped in a cloth that Doctor T. "prescribed" to me.

A month and a half had passed since my birth. During that time, I had been put through experiment after experiment. I didn't understand it at first, but I realized that it was very important as I grew older.

My mother smiled sweetly as she slowly walked next to my dad to our car. She was very excited to treat me as a normal child and raise me like a mother was supposed to. She wanted me to experience everything in the whole world. She wanted me to explore the universe. To travel across the globe. To fly into space. To find out who I am and why I am as I am. To find a sense of belonging. To find purpose and meaning in my life.

My father opened the passenger seat door and let my mom and me get in. He shut the door and got into the driver's seat. My mom turned on some lullabies that she had wanted me to listen to ever since she was pregnant. I remember the feeling of my mom's warm embrace and the smell of the spring air. The sounds of wildlife and the lullabies singing in my ears.

The drive home was peaceful.

The car pulled into the driveway and my mom waited for dad to open the door for her. She was still weak from the birth and couldn't move as well as before. My dad helped her step out of the car as she held onto me. I could sense her motherly instincts to protect me.

The sun now shone directly at the house and out of my eyes, allowing me to get a beautiful view of my house. Our house. The place I will grow up.

It was a gorgeous lakefront house with a huge yard and large weeping willow trees greeting us at the front of the house. It must have been worth a fortune.

We paused in front of the house and smiled at the future that layed ahead of us. A bright future that could never be destroyed.

Or so we thought.

Omg I never expected any of these chapters to be so "poetic". I never knew I even had it in me.

By the way, guess where my first poetic chapter was made??

THE TOILET

Yes, my first "decent" chapter was written in the bathroom. Go me!

I'll have to do it more often. I think it inspires me 🤔
