46 Days after Praimfaya:

KALI'S POV:

I stood waiting for the meeting begin, it had been a relatively easy transition but there was still a lot of unrest among the clans. Azgeda respected the Trikru leader which happened to be me but they did not respect the clansmen. I was struggling to maintain control but it would come to me in the end. Things like this usually did. Indra always told me I was a born leader. I'd have to be stronger. I then moved sitting down my eyes set coldly on the people around the table.

"Cabor Kom Delphikru jak ai tronkova Sangeda ridon." (Cabor from Delphikru stole blankets from Sangeda quarters.) The delegate angrily shouted her eyes landing on Delphikru delegate.

"Tropon lod." (A brazen lie) He bit back.

"Bilaik vaucha yo, en head en din. Hashtega Sangeda Kru hedon en taik rok shouen." (There are witnesses; his guilt is not in question by Sangeda Kru law he should be stoned.)

"Oh, the ark he would have been floated but surely here we can instil a justice system where the punishment fits the crime." Kane tried to sort things out but he didn't know the Grounders as well as he thought he did. I rolled my eyes just as sick of this as Octavia seemed to me.

"Emo kripon don gon; en osir raitnes osir

"Emo kripon don gon; en osir raitnes osir." (The crime was against us; and our justice should prevail) She shouted angrily and I leaned forward pinching the bridge of my nose.

"With stoning? That gets messy, do you even have any stones?" I dryly asked watching her lips curl in disgust.

"Shof op kripa." (Be quiet demon.) She hissed while I chuckled, I may be the leader of Trikru but in the eyes of a lot I was still a demon, they reserved the name for me, on one hand in my younger days I was more happy to have finally garnered a title of blood but now it seemed a burden, I bathed in the blood of my enemies and because of that everyone would always consider me the same girl.

"Daun bilaik ai, kripa. Ai na rip of steiks-de kom yu joken klaka em bilaik." (That would be me, demon. I will rip the fucking meat off your bones if you'd like) I hissed my eyes shining with anger and it always amused me now people fell back when they were threatened. "Do well to not forget we are Wonkru if you don't like it you can fuck off back to the surface." I harshly shared with them.

"Fine then what punishment fits the crime?" She asked coldly.

"For stealing blankets? Give them back." Octavia demanded. "What's next?" Octavia asked as we all heard someone above us, I felt my heart rise, someone was out there. The meeting dispersed. I made my way out to where Atticus was, I brushed his hair softly with a sad smile on my lips.

"Hi Kali." He whispered, I'd been trying to teach him English but I hadn't managed much, a smile formed on my lips as I leaned down kissing his forehead. I had to be strong for him, I had to be ruthless for him. Any trouble that would threaten him I would quickly get rid of it. I couldn't have him getting hurt. Gaia didn't believe I would be a good mother, like everyone else my title reigned supreme. I watched as his brown eyes gazed up at me. "Chit don kom au?" (What happened?) He asked worriedly I then brushed his hair tenderly pulling him into my side.
