BELLATRIX POV
Walking into Monty's make-shift lab with nothing but the tapping of keys and Bellamy pacing would have been unbearable on a normal day, but with the memory of Ensis's arms wrapped tightly around me it felt like peace. I finally felt happy. Before going up to space it had been a pursuit of survival, but I hoped this time I would try and find happiness.
"Would you stop pacing?" Monty snapped, looking up, I snorted in amusement, glancing up at them.
"Someone's in a mood," I laughed announcing my presence.
"Seriously Trix, can you get him to stop?" Monty asked, holding his hand out in Bellamy's direction as I leaned against the table, looking at all the gadgets.
"I'm afraid not even getting laid can fix how tightly wound he is." I mockingly commented, the two of us laughing lightly as Bellamy rolled his eyes.
"Funny," he dryly muttered before looking to Monty. "Can you do it or not?" Bellamy demanded to know.
"I have access to the mother ship from the laser-comm, but everything's encrypted, so no." Monty tensely answered as I rounded the table, looking over his shoulder. "When we were up there, I could have opened a backdoor from the inside, but we didn't know even know they had a damn camera." Monty shouted slapping his hand against the table and knocking some things over, I frowned, looking down at Monty and I reached out, placing my hand on top of his, intertwining our hands.
"Monty, it's going to be okay, we didn't know we'd be walking into a warzone, even if I totally called it." I stated, glancing over at Bellamy who rolled his eyes.
"Monty, take it easy." Bellamy tried, walking over to us.
"Why are we even doing this?" Monty asked, his voice breaking as he looked up at Bellamy. "So your sister can go to war? What happened to us being the good guys? Trix, you can't be okay with this can you?"
"We are the good guys." Bellamy tried, looking down at Monty with a pained expression.
"Really? Letting her kill people for defecting-correction, thinking about defecting." Monty snapped.
"Raven's a prisoner," Bellamy pointed out. "Murphy has a shock collar around his neck and he's alone in the woods with Emori. This...this is how we get them back."
"Bell, Monty has a point, this doesn't sit well with me." I spoke up, shaking my head.
"Well, we need to do something, maybe you can help?" Bellamy asked and I huffed, shaking my head and getting on the other computer, typing and looking over the information displayed on the screen. There wasn't much to do in space, everyone had picked up a few skills.
"Even if she helped, we can't do it from down here." Monty quickly called out and I paused, my body freezing as my mind raced.
"Maybe we can still plant a backdoor." I suggested, leaning in and looking between them.
"What do you mean?" Bellamy asked, his eyebrows furrowed.
"I'm ready to drop some knowledge on you, beard with a personality," I quickly exclaimed earning a huff of amusement from Bellamy.
"Nice," he muttered, shaking his head.
"What if it's like a virus, if we can get someone up on the ship and they plant it in their system then we're golden, right?" I asked, looking to Monty whose eyes lit up and he clicked his finger, pointing to me.
"That's weirdly genius of you." Monty commented as I shrugged my shoulders.
"I'm the discount Raven Reyes right now." I chuckled as Bellamy raised his eyebrow.
