I wake up to my alarm clock and smack the off button, groaning as I sit up. I rub my chocolate brown eyes sleepily and get up out of bed. Onyx, my black barn owl, landed on my shoulder, nipping my ear affectionately.
"Morning, boy," I giggle in my Irish accent, petting his head.
"Good morning, mistress," Onyx hoots telepathically and goes to his perch in the corner.
I get dressed in a grey jumper, black skinny jeans, black Chuck Taylor converse, and my charm bracelet that I had gotten from Remus John Lupin, my godfather, in third year for Christmas. I run my thumb over the moon charm
that he had also given me, but in fifth year on my birthday. The moon changes to show the phases of the moon. I sigh and run a hand through my dark brown hair; it was thick and long and I pull it into a messy bun, slipping my wand into it.
I put on some simple makeup; just eyeliner, mascara, and lip gloss. I can't stand a ton of makeup on my face. I grab a to-go mug of coffee, milk and two sugars, and head out of my London flat to go to work. After the Second Wizarding War ended I had wanted to live life as a normal teenager for a while, so I got a flat by myself and a job in a normal Muggle shop.
