I wake up and go to sit up but there was a weight on my waist. I blush madly when I realize that the Doctor had his arms wrapped around me and he was sleeping. I also want to crawl into a hole when I remember last night. I practically had a meltdown and cried all over the Doctor. I sigh and watch the Doctor as he sleeps, and yes, I know how creepy that sounds, but in my defense he looks so peaceful when he sleeps. All of the pain and self-hate fades away. The Doctor gets a line between his brows as they furrow and his arms tighten around me... seems I'm not the only one who has nightmares.
"Doctor," I whisper, putting my hands on his face and he frowns, moving in his sleep a bit. "Doctor," I whisper again.
His eyes shoot open and he looks around the room frantically before he focuses on me: "Eva..." he sighs, pulling me close to him and burying his face in my hair.
"The war?" I guess and he nods, tightening his hold on me.
"There's so much screaming, every time I close my eyes," he whispers, breathing heavily.
"I'm so sorry, but I'm here for you, for anything," I whisper, kissing his head as I rub his back.
"You being here is enough," he mutters roughly and I continue to soothe him for a few minutes.
"Alright, up you get," I pat his back and he whines, making me giggle slightly. "You are such a child," I shake my head. "Come on, I need to shower," I complain, trying to pry his arms off me.
"You smell fine," he retorts, not letting go.
"You're an idiot," I roll my eyes.
The Doctor lifts his head from my hair to give me a cheeky grin: "you love it," he winks.
"Bozo," I giggle, flicking his nose and making him jerk back.
"Oi!" he exclaims indignantly, pinching my arm.
"I'm free!" I cheer, jumping out of bed and running to my bathroom. "Ta, sweetie," I smirk over my shoulder at the Doctor's pout.
I take a shower and get dressed in a pair of cut-off black shorts, a black t-shirt that had a gold lion with 'Gryffindor' in red lettering, red converse, and my gloves. I put my hair in a messy bun, slip my wand in it, and put some simple eye make-up on. I get to the console room and skip over to Rose and Adam who were on the jump-seat, the Doctor was under the console.
"Morning, doll," I smile and nudge Rose with my foot.
"Morning, babe," she smiles, nudging me back.
I turn to Adam and hold my hand out: "hi, I'm Evangeline Evans, we weren't actually introduced," I smile. "You can call me Eva" I add.
"Adam Mitchell, pleasure to meet you, really," he smiles, shaking my hand. "So, this is..." he trails off, gesturing the room.
"She's gorgeous, isn't she?" I smirk and the TARDIS hums in reply. "So, where are we going?" I call down to the Doctor.
"I asked Adam, said the future but he doesn't care how far," he hops out and brushes his hands off on his pants. "You can pick," he smirks, leaning on the console and folding his arms.
"Ooo, I'm gonna set it on random," I smile widely, rushing around the console and piloting the TARDIS.
When it stops, the Doctor, Rose, and I step out. Adam was still inside getting his bearings. Rose wanted to impress him and how could I say no when she gave me her puppy-eyes? Girl's got a gift, so I gave in. Besides, it should be quite entertaining.
