I was lying under the grating, beside the Doctor, as we work on the TARDIS. I was wearing white shorts; a navy blue, thick-strapped tank top; and a pair of grey converse. I also had on the black gloves that I wore in 1869. I liked them and it was less hot than having to wear a jacket all the time. The Doctor soniced them for me so that it would feel like I wasn't wearing anything.

Rose comes into the console room: "I want to go home," she calls down.

I sit up quickly, dropping the Doctor's sonic, which I was using to repair one of the wires, and frown up at her: "what? Why?"

"Sorry?" the Doctor asks, retrieving his sonic and hopping out of the grating.

"Just for a visit! Oh, my God, your faces!" Rose laughs, holding her stomach.

"Haha," I roll my eyes, holding my hands up and giving the Doctor a pleading look.

The Doctor rolls his eyes and grabs my hands, lifting me out from under the grating. I give a mock-curtsy, making him and Rose snort.

"Course we can take you home for a visit," the Doctor smiles, rushing around and starting up the engines.

I hold onto the console and watch as the Doctor rushes about, flying the TARDIS. It was always so interesting to watch him pilot; it was like a dance almost, the way he did it. The Doctor throws down a lever to park us and Rose smiles widely, rushing outside. The Doctor and I share an amused look before following after her. Rose was looking around the Powell Estate while the Doctor leans against the TARDIS doors with his arms folded. I step out and smile, seeing that we made it. I could go see Onyx and my friends while Rose visits her mum.

"How long have I been gone?" Rose asks, snapping me out of my thoughts.

"About 12 hours," the Doctor shrugs, and the three of us laugh.

"Oooh!" Rose laughs at the absurdity of it. "Right, I won't be long, I'm just gonna see my mum," she smiles at us.

"What're you going to tell her?" I ask, raising an eyebrow.

"I don't know! I've been to the year 5 billion... and only been gone, what, 12 hours?" Rose asks teasingly, making the Doctor and I snort. "No, I'll just tell her I've spent the night at Shareens," she shrugs. "See you later!" she starts to walk off before turning back. "Oh, don't you two disappear," she points between us sternly.

"Pfft, as if I'd let him leave you behind," I scoff lightly, making her and the Doctor both roll their eyes before she runs off to go see her mum.

As soon as Rose is out of sight there were three loud pops and I was being smacked on my arm repeatedly: "where the hell have you been!?" Hermione yells as she continues to hit me. "Have you any idea of what we've been through!? We thought you'd been captured, or killed! You! Complete! Arse!" she hits me over and over.

"Stop hitting me!" I yelp, jumping behind the Doctor.

"Well, where were you?" Harry demands.

"I told you, I was with the Doctor," I tell my cousin and two of my best friends, poking my head out from behind the Doctor. "Honestly, it's not the first time I've gone off for a couple days," I roll my eyes.

"Eva, you've been gone a year," Ron tells me slowly and I blanch slightly, the Doctor tensing.

"What?" I squeak, looking up at the Doctor, who had a horrified expression.

"Everyone's been worried," Harry says. "The Auror's office has been looking for you nonstop, we even got the Muggle police involved," he tells me.
